IronRuby will run on anything greater than 2.0 SP1, so you'll need to upgrade,
but not all the way to 4.0

Subject: [Ironruby-core] Will IronRuby 1.0 Work on vanilla .NET 2.0

Hello,

I've googled around and couldn't really find an answer for this question, so
apologies if I missed it.

Will IronRuby 1.0 work on a .NET 2.0 installation or will I need the .NET 4.0
System.Core's implementation of the DLR to be able to use it? I'd like to use
Ruby, but if it'll require an upgrade to .NET 4.0, then it might not be
possible.

Thanks in advance,
Martin
