I remember reading a thread on the IL caching strategy, in particular that a
performance optimization was made by not being too aggressive.
Unfortunately, I can't find the thread. What's the strategy now? How many
times will a piece of Ruby code be interpreted before it is gen'd to IL and
cached? Is that configurable? If so, how? I'm not asking for anything in
particular, just curiosity in general.
