A position is available immediately to help improve citrus irrigation management practices. Ph.D. required in soils, crop science, horticulture, agricultural engineering, or plant physiology. Research will involve studies on soil water measurement devices, irrigation management, effective rainfall, reclaimed water, and ET of citrus trees. Evaluate different soil water measuring devices & take field measurements of tree and soil water stress. Computer & spreadsheet experience is necessary. Opportunity to work in one of the largest reclaimed water projects in U. S. where reclaimed water is a growing resource. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
