I'd like to see this implemented very much, too! I think I once asked
about this in #irssi (@ IRCNet), but I'd remember that in response I
only got disappointed sighs from Emacs-advocates. ;^)

Hehe, no -- seriously, if someone is working on this one, let us know!
It's getting harder and harder for me to type stuff in irssi, as I've
got so used to home row (by Vim itself, and shell, too). :-)
