On a related note, is there an easy way to join a channel that has a comma
(,) in it? IRSSI treats it as a channel separator instead of part of the
channel name.
ftp://ftp.rfc-editor.org/in-notes/rfc1459.txt
"Channels names are strings (beginning with a '&' or '#' character) of
length up to 200 characters. Apart from the the requirement that the
first character being either '&' or '#'; the only restriction on a
channel name is that it may not contain any spaces (' '), a control G
(^G or ASCII 7), or a comma (',' which is used as a list item
separator by the protocol)."
I was merely requesting that the "," could be used in completion as either a word separator (which it is not), part of a word (which it is not either) or both.
Now please stop including me in this discussion, as if I wished to participate. I would have no problem subscribing to the list if needed. I tried to make the initial message as short as possible to avoid any confrontation on thoughts, because my initial request is really simple and needs not further discussion on my part. While I don't mind that one conversation starts off another, I have no intentions of joining these. So thanks in advance for not involving me further. :-)
