US air strikes killed over 100 Somalians

“We haven't seen any al-Qaeda members killed but what we can confirm is
that a lot of innocent civilians have been killed by the American
warplanes,” he told AFP. “They hit civilian sites and forests where
nomads keep animals.”

Dirir Moalim Hussein, a herder, said his wife and two other members of
his family were killed as they tried to flee the attacks on their
village of Bulo Haji between Dhobley and Afmadow.

9/11 : Tell us something we DON'T know

Tehran, Iran, Jan. 12 - Iran trumpeted a stunning accusation against the
United States on Friday, claiming it had planned the September 11, 2001
attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon outside
Washington, D.C.

The Chairman of the Guardians Council Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati described
9/11 as a "puppet show", adding that it had been orchestrated by the
Americans themselves.

"They used this event as a pretext in order to create the slogan of
fighting terrorism and promoting democracy to carry out an assault on
Islamic countries. But the reality is that they have been defeated in
Iraq, Afghanistan, Palestine, and Lebanon and their slogan has lost its
effect", Jannati told worshippers during a sermon in Tehran. His
comments were aired on state television.

In September 2006, the head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps
accused the Bush Administration and the Israeli security service Mossad
of ordering the September 11 attacks.

In the past our politicians offered us dreams of a better world. Now
they promise to protect us from nightmares. The most frightening of

dreams were not true, neither are these nightmares.

Can suicide bombers ever be justified? Professor Honderich, Britain's

Taking what he says is the betrayal of the Palestinian people as his

                         Western civilisation?

August 2005 saw a report published by the Integrated Regional
Information Networks (IRIN), which brought to light the growth of child
prostitution, under the new liberated Iraq and how children as young as
thirteen have become victims of this sexual tyranny, which the West has
brought to these children's doors.

The report states that extreme poverty has lead to an increase in gangs,
who are going around and kidnapping children and forcing them into the
sex trade, where hard currencies can be exchanged for the degradation of
a young persons body.

So, are these the Western Civilisation promoted to Iraq People, then ?

Sometimes you look around and wonder how things could have gone so wrong

                    Iraq's Sovereignty? What's Left

When Iraq's prime minister Nuri Kamal al-Maliki "decided to go ahead
with the hanging (of Saddam Hussein) the Americans said they made no
further attempts to stop it, having concluded that they could advise the
Iraqis against the execution, but not prevent it if the Iraqis
persisted, out of respect for Iraqi sovereignty" (my italics, New York
Times, January 3, 2007).

Given that Washington's respect for Iraqi sovereignty hasn't prevented
an invasion, occupation and installation of a puppet government, it
seems curious that respect for Iraqi sovereignty should suddenly stay
Washington's hand.

News Flash! Three very reliable eyewitnesses confirmed to me the
                               following

- Al Adhamiya District , a predominantly Sunni neighborhood, has been
shelled heavily.

The home of one of the persons has been partly blown away. She and her
husband saw several corpses , at least three according to her, lying in
different streets in Adhamiya.

She and her husband were not "quite sure" if it was the Iraqi Army, the
US occupation forces or the Mahdi Death Squads. Her husband added:" It
is probably the three of them."

- Karrada District, a mixed neighborhood. Sunni/Shi'a and Christians.

The third person stated that they have been without electricity for the
5th day in a row.

The shelling and mortar bombs have been continuous. Since most Iraqi
homes use gas or kerosene for heating , they have been "freezing". It is
impossible to go out and purchase any.

Supplies are short and it is too dangerous to leave the house.

Iranian backed milita-death squads.

The crackdown in Baghdad and the anticipated bombing of Iran will have

                               Crackdown

Even a cursory review of Bush's speech shows that the president is less
concerned with "security" in Baghdad than he is with plans to attack
Iran. Paul Craig Roberts was correct in his article yesterday when he
questioned whether all the hoopla over a surge was just "an orchestrated
distraction" to draw attention away from the real war plan. ("Troop
Escalation and Iran", Information Clearinghouse"). Apparently, it is.

As Roberts noted, "The US Congress and the media are focused on
President Bush's proposal for an increase of 20,000 US troops in Iraq,
while Israel and its American neoconservative allies prepare an assault
on Iran."

Israel destroys Negev Bedouin village for second time

On Tuesday, January 9th, Israeli forces entered the Bedouin village of
Twail Abu Jarwal in the Northern Negev for the fifth time, in order to
demolish it. Large police forces, with the aid of special-task forces
and with the aerial help of a helicopter and two bulldozers, demolished
the entire village. Twenty-one homes, shacks, brick rooms, and tents
were destroyed. During the last battle Israel waged against the
residents of this village, on 6 December 2006, Israeli forces demolished
17 homes - more than half the village. But the villagers, with the help
of friends and the Regional Council for the Unrecognized Villages,
managed to rebuild roofs over their heads, to protect them from the
harsh Negev winter weather. Today, however, it seems that Israel might
have won the battle -- and the war -- against its citizens in the
Northern Negev.
