BAGHDAD, Iraq Thu Mar 1 - A U.S. Army helicopter made a "hard landing" in
northern Iraq on Thursday, but the military said the problem was mechanical
and not the result of hostile fire.
Last week, ground fire forced a Black Hawk helicopter to make an emergency

I must admit that I have been deeply shocked by a story that appeared today
on my website, to the effect that the BBC reported the collapse of WTC
Building 7 23 minutes before it actually took place. Previously, the BBC
claimed that it had lost all of its 9/11 coverage, but this video has now
surfaced. I watched it myself, and sat there with my blood literally
running cold as I saw their reporter saying that Building 7 had collapsed

9/11 : Why the towers fell: Two theories
The media has basically kept the collapse of WTC Building #7 hidden from
public view. However, instead of the Twin Towers, lets consider this
building now. Building #7 was a 47-story structural steel World Trade
Center Building that also collapsed onto itself at free-fall speed on 9/11.
This structural steel building was not hit by a jetliner, and collapsed
seven hours after the Twin Towers collapsed and five hours after the
firemen had been ordered to vacate the building and a collapse safety zone
had been cordoned off. Both of the landmark buildings on either side
received relatively little structural damage and both continue in use today.
Contrary to the sudden collapse of the Twin Towers and Building #7, the
four other smaller World Trade Center buildings #3, #4, #5, and #6, which
were severely damaged and engulfed in flames on 9/11, still remained
standing. There were no reports of multiple explosions. The buildings had
no pools of molten metal (a byproduct of explosives) at the base of their
elevator shafts. They created no huge caustic concrete/cement and asbestos
dust clouds (only explosives will pulverize concrete into a fine dust
cloud), and they propelled no heavy steel beams horizontally for three
hundred feet or more.
The collapse of WTC building #7, which housed the offices of the CIA, the
Secret Service, and the Department of Defense, among others, was omitted
from the governments 9/11 Commission Report, and its collapse has yet to
be investigated.
Perhaps it is time for these and other unanswered questions surrounding
9/11 to be thoroughly investigated. Lets start by contacting our
congressional delegation.

This latest excuse-o-gram from Richard Porter amounts to a "they were all
doing it" justification for their premature report, perhaps in the hope we
mean old bloggers will go pick on someone else.
But Porter has simply reiterated what we already knew, EVERYONE got a
report that the building was going to come down ahead of time. That is not
the point. The point is that in a 100 year history of skyscraper
construction., no steel-framed building had ever collapsed from fire prior
to 9-11. So, WHO was telling the news media that the Saloman Brothers
Building, aka WTC-7, was about to collapse when there was zero historical
precedent for it?
I don't care what Richard Porter says to get BBC off the hook for this.
