Four years later, the annihilation of Iraq is still on course
Four years ago, US-led forces began a vicious
aerial bombardment of the oil-rich country of
Iraq. Referred to as Operation Iraqi Freedom, the
opening salvo ushered the vital Arab nation into
an era of darkness, dread and destruction.
The first signs that Iraqis were in for a bloody
and inhumane occupation were felt in the
"precision bombing" of Baghdad and other cities.
Arab media clamored viciously to broadcast the
freshest images of civilian dead which were
coming in to news bureaus every hour.
In the 1,461 days that have since passed, Iraq as
a nation is in decay; its people are displaced
refugees in neighboring countries. Nearly 700,000
Iraqis of all religions and sects have died.
Public order is in disarray; gunshots and
explosions in schools, marketplaces, and parks
have replaced the chirp and chatter of everyday life.

Marine admits to killing 18 unarmed Iraqis, says he would do it again
This is for John (the US Marine who would die for
me!) and Angelique (who thinks that her husband
hasnt killed anyone in Iraq, but terrorists) and
all the supporters of war in Iraq (and everywhere
else). Although he was charged with other three
marines with murder and the killings of two dozen
Iraqi men, women and children on November 19,
2005, in Haditha, Sgt. Frank Wuterich would make the same decisions today.

On the other hand, why these war criminals are
not put to face International Court for war

After 4 years: Iraqi Resistance Indicators..Up
and Up . Rumsfeld's Metrics..Wet.
The following graphs show the steady progress of
the Iraqi resistance over the four years of
occupation. They are extracted from the Iraq
Index (pp 23 and 24) and updated on 19th March 2007.
The first graph shows that the average number of
attacks have more than doubled in the last year
to about 185 per day. That is 1300 per week, and
over 5500 attacks per month. Another way of
understanding this is that in any one hour, day
and night, there are 7-8 new mortar attack, IED,
sniper fire, etc. The figures are based on
variety of official and semi-official US sources
and estimates. The inclusion of 'Militias in the
title of the graph is recent, and seems linked to
the evolving political vocabulary by the US. In
the light of the two other items. Militia can be
understood to refer to local vigilantes that are
largely part of the resistance.
