[103.2] Sesungguhnya manusia itu benar-benar berada dalam kerugian, [103.3] kecuali orang-orang yang beriman dan mengerjakan amal saleh dan nasihat menasihati supaya menaati kebenaran dan nasihat menasihati supaya menetapi kesabaran. Dalam berdakwah, saya menghindari topik-topik khilafiyah yang hanya memancing keributan seperti masalah isbal, doa qunut, maulid, dsb. Menurut saya manfaatnya kurang. Lebih baik kita menyeru ummat agar meyakini kebesaran Islam sehingga mereka yakin bahwa tidak ada Tuhan selain Allah dan Muhammad adalah utusan Allah. Setelah itu difokuskan pada rukun Iman yang 6 dan juga rukun Islam yang 5 dengan menekankan bahwa pedoman kita adalah Al Qur’an dan Hadits. Menurut saya, itulah dakwah yang dilakukan oleh Nabi Muhammad SAW di mana beliau berusaha keras agar penduduk kafir Mekkah mengucapkan 2 kalimat syahadah, begitu pula dengan surat yang beliau kirim ke Kaisar Romawi dan Raja Persia. Boleh dikata 80% dakwah Nabi tentang kalimat Tauhid. Jika yang didakwahkan adalah hal yang khilafiyah dan furu’iyah seperti isbal, qunut, atau maulid, jangankan kepada orang kafir, kepada orang Islam yang masih awam saja (misalnya shalat masih bolong) hal itu tidak akan nyambung dan bermanfaat bagi mereka. Justru makin menjauhkan mereka dari Islam. Di Yahoo Answer, ada “fasilitas dakwah” di mana setiap orang baik Muslim atau pun non Muslim bisa bertanya tentang Islam.
