Does anybody understand this failure of isatest? The process is
terminated after many hours.
I've tried to reproduce it by hand, loading
Codegenerator_Test/Generate.thy into HOL-Library. It works for
polyml-5.4.1_x86_64-darwin and polyml-5.4.1_x86-darwin, but
polyml-5.3.0_x86-darwin does not seem to terminate.
This could indicate a non-termination issue in the polyml compiler (not
runtime!) which has been resolved in the meantime.
A strategy to check for this would to generate the code to a file rather
than checking it (e.g. replacing »checking« by »module_name foo file
"/tmp/Foo.ML"«), remember this, and then arbitrary delete things until
compilation terminates. Then the last diff is likely to have caused the
damage.
