Another factor is the Jews control of media. One statement says if a Jewish scientist came out with the idea that the world is flat, noble prize committee will be made to award the prize to that particular Jew.

Hasnol, I am in total agreement with anta. Siapa kata the jewish people are ahead of others in terms of knowledge contribution. If you go back 500 to 1000 yrs, than muslims were the leaders in the field of knowledge. If noble prize were in existent back than, the number of noble prize winners among muslim scientist would have quadrapled that of the jewish people.

 

Yes we may have slacked behind nowadays, but that was the result of direct and indirect impact of colonization and secularization of the muslim mind. You take away tauhid from science, than muslims became ineffective, and they only became imitators of their colonial masters.

 

In order to bring muslims back on track, we have notables like Syeikh Muhd Abduh, Syeikh Jamaluddin al-afghani, Syeikh Rashid Redha, As-Syahid Hassan al-Banna, Syed Qutb as-syahid and a host of other great names. By right these are the people that should have been hailed as great contibutors to civilization, and should be honoured with the likes of noble prizes, because that's what humanity needs nowadays.

+military: top 5 army and top 10 navy/air force.
20+Billion/year budget.
+cultural influence on the region."
