Earthquake hits Sulawesi, tsunami warning issued JAKARTA (JP): A 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit Sulawesi on Thursday at 4:48 p.m. Jakarta time, prompting authorities to issue a tsunami warning.
The quake had an epicenter 291 kilometers northeast of Bitung, North Sulawesi at a depth of 30 kilometers, theMeteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) reported on its website.
