Israel survives based on campaigns of lies and disinformation. Through news briefings and control of the media, they hold sway over the public opinion. They are making a concerted effort at it, going at every news channel available, however small. Recently they took over Youtube and they are also trying other means. Here is an example. BBC is easily the most popular news website, its radio is the most widely listened international radio in the world. BBC (bbcnews.com) has a section called "Have your Say" where visitors can drop their comments on issues. Presently two issues on the table relates to the present aggression in Gaza. Are the Israeli strikes on Gaza justified? How can a truce be achieved in Gaza? If you click on the recent comments tab, you will find almost an equal number of responses. But each comment has a recommend counter which when pressed will increase its popularity and this list of popular comments are listed in recomended tabs. There youll see that the top 20 or so in the list are all Israeli propaganda.
