The Temerloh district Water Department has been blamed for the problem. In a recent meeting, Lanchang state assemblyman Datuk Mohd Sharkar Samsuddin and the residents, community leaders, political party leaders and others took the department's officers to task over the matter. Mohd Sharkar urged the department to arrange lorries to supply water to the affected residents. He added that the business community in the area had suffered more than RM1mil in losses. Mohd Sharkar said it was surprising that the department had failed to take the necessary action to supply water to the residents for a week.
