LIMA RUKUN ISLAM – FIVE PILLARS OF ISLAM
May 10, 2011 by mthago
We have six pillars of Iman and five pillars of Islam. The six pillars of Iman
are the orders of Allah to our heart and the five pillars of Islam are the
orders of Allah to our body. Heart is the king of the body and whatever the
heart direct the body will do. On the other hand, our heart are influenced by
what the body does particularly what has been spoken repeatedly by our tongue.
Prophet Muhammad saw said in the approximate meaning, “A man will not become
right until his heart is right and a man’s heart will not be right until his
Iman is right and his Iman will not be right until his speeches are right”.
What
a man spokes repeatedly will becomes his beliefs and Allah has given us the
best
of all words to be spoken repeatedly by all men so that his beliefs are correct
and that word is “I bear witness that there is no God except Allah and I bear
witness that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah”. The first pillar of Islam is
to bear witness there is no God except Allah and I bear witness Muhammad is the
Prophet of Allah. In order this Great Kalimah become embedded into the heart of
every men and women, this Great Kalimah has to be spoken repeatedly by men and
women. The first pillar of Islam is to bear witness that, there is no God
except
Allah and I bear witness Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. In order for this
Great Kalimah to go into our heart we have to fulfil the right of the Great
Kalimah. What is the right of this Great Kalimah? The right of this Great
Kalimah is when we see disobedience to the orders of Allah or evils; we must
forbid the evils by inviting peoples to good. We must start forbidding the
worst
of all evils. The worst of all evils committed by men is there do not want to
bear witness that there is no God except Allah and to testify Muhammad is the
Prophet of Allah. The best of good deed is to bear witness that there is no God
except Allah and to testify that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. When a
person
recite the Great Kalimah, all his or her sins are washed away and converted to
good deeds. A person who does not want to recite the Great Kalimah is known as
non-Muslims and a person who has recited the Great Kalimah is known as Muslim.
The second most evils committed by men is, even though they had recited the
Great Kalimah yet they do not convey the Great Kalimah to those who have not
recited the Great Kalimah and the third most evils committed by men is, they do
not perform five times prayers.
With the first pillar of Islam there is an actions associated with the pillar.
What is the action associated with the first pillar of Islam? The action
associated with the first pillar of Islam is to convey the Great Kalimah to
those who have not recited it and to remind those who have accepted the Great
Kalimah about the Great Kalimah and the orders of Allah. After Hazrat Abu Bakar
r.a accepted and recited the Great Kalimah, he immediately did the action
associated with the reciting of the Great Kalimah, which is to convey the Great
Kalimah to others who have not recited the Great Kalimah. Prophet Muhammad saw
said convey to others even though if you know only one verse. The work
associated with the first pillar of Islam is only to convey the Great Kalimah
to
the non-Muslims and not to convert them to become Muslim and to remind
disobedience Muslims about the meaning of the Great Kalimah and to invite them
to obey the orders of Allah and the first order to invite them to do is the
order of conveying the Great Kalimah to non-Muslims and to order them to
perform
five times prayers. We are not asked by Allah to convert the non-Muslims to
Muslims and to make the disobedience Muslims to become obedience but only to
convey the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslims and to remind the disobedience
Muslims to obey the orders of Allah. What is needed is only time and
enthusiasms
to do it. No amount of money and wealth is required to do the actions
associated
with the First Pillar of Islam. It is an easy order of Allah to do except it is
heavy to those who have no beliefs on the promises of Allah. All Muslims should
give some times daily which is about 45 minutes either in the morning or in the
evening to do the action associated with the First Pillar of Islam. What is the
action? The action is to go and visit all Muslims and non-Muslims living in
every lanes and roads in the locality of our mosques or surau. We have to visit
every houses in the locality, lanes by lanes until all the houses in the
locality have been visited. When we visited a Muslim houses, we must salute the
household with Assalamualaikum for at least 3 times. When an adult male members
comes out of the house, ask him to spend time and remind him about the meaning
of the Great Kalimah and invite him to obey the orders of Allah and the first
order he is to be invited is to convey the Great Kalimah to non-Muslims and the
second order he needs to be invited is to perform 5 times congregation prayers
in the mosques or surau. When no one comes out from the house or only the
females members of the family is available, then raise your hand before Allah
and make doa, so that all members of the household and Muslims all over the
world will come to the obedience to the orders of Allah, particularly to the
two
most important daily orders of Allah. When we are visiting the non-Muslim
houses, we must salute the household with greetings for three times. When an
adult male’s member of the household comes out of the house, then we must
invite
him to recite the Great Kalimah. In case there is no one is in the house or
only
the female members of the family is available then raise your hand before Allah
and ask forgiveness for your sins and the sins of all the Muslims in the whole
world for neglecting the work of the Prophet Muhammad saw and to make doa so
that Allah will give guidance the entire mankind in the whole world to recite
the Great Kalimah.
Actions associated with the First Pillar of Islam have long been forgotten by
all Muslims in the whole worlds. Because Muslims are neglecting the First
Pillars of Islam, the Great Kalimah has not entered into the heart and minds of
all Muslims. The Great Kalimah only remains in the mouth of the Muslims.
Because
the Great Kalimah has not entered the heart of all Muslims, all the actions of
all Muslims are absent of iman and as a result all the actions of Muslims are
only superficial. Every actions should have a picture, reality and names. When
all actions of Muslims are absent of iman, the actions of all Muslims only have
names and pictures but absent of realness. Our solat, fasting, zakat and Haj
are
only names and images but without the reality. When actions are devoid of
reality, it has no power to attract the help of Allah. Actions without reality
will not give the performer of the actions any blessing and rewards from Allah.
We spend times praying and making doa but our doa and prayers are not accepted
by Allah. Our prayers and doa cannot prevent us from committing sins and evils
doing and our solat cannot be used by us to solved all our problems. We are
wondering why all our doa are not accepted by Allah, although we are
continuously making prayers and doa to Allah. Allah knows that we are making
prayers and doa to him and but Allah does not fulfilled our doa because we have
disobeyed the very First Pillars of Islam. We have not given any time in a day
to do the action associated with the First Pillar of Islam. We are only busy
with works that we think and believes will provide all our needs. We cannot be
bothered to do the work that is associated with the First Pillars of Islam. We
have no times for the work of inviting and reminding men and ourselves about
the
Great Kalimah but we have times for other works. We give time to our families,
friends and to ourselves but not to the work associated with the First Pillars
of Islam. Because of this our iman is very weak and our amals are devoid of
realness and our doa are not accepted by Allah. What a pity, when we have the
Great Kalimah with us, but because we do not carry out the right of the Great
Kalimah, we are devoid from the blessing associated with the great Kalimah.
Prophet Muhammad saw said in the approximate meaning “Everyone who have recited
the Great Kalimah, will have its benefits, he will not have any unhappiness and
no calamities will ever fall on him, unless he does not fulfil the right of the
Great Kalimah”. The companions of the Prophet saw asked the Prophet saw what
the
right of the Great Kalimah is? Prophet saw answered in the approximate meaning,
“When evils or wrong doings are done against Allah, the one who recited the
Great Kalimah does not prevent the evils doers from committing the evils”. The
greatest evil done by men is they do not want to testify and to recite the
Great
Kalimah. How should the Muslims prevent the evil doers from committing the
evils? Muslims can prevent the evil doers from committing the evils by inviting
the evil doers to accept and to recite the Great Kalimah. Who are the one who
does not want to accept and to recite the Great Kalimah? The one who does not
want to testify and to recite the Great Kalimah is the non-Muslims.
Should all Muslims invite the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah? The work
of inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah has been forgotten by
many Muslims since hundreds of years ago CLICK. When Muslims are not inviting
the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah, it means Muslims are not inviting
to good and forbidding the evil. When Muslims are not inviting peoples to good
and forbidding the evil, their iman are weak, they cannot become true believers
and when they make doa, Allah is not accepting their doa, whatever they ask
from
Allah, Allah will not give them, and when they ask Allah for help, against
their
enemies, Allah will not help them. How Muslims could be honoured and elevated
in
this world, when Allah is not with the Muslims. How could Muslims win the wars
against their enemies when Allah is not helping them? How could the Muslims
solve all their problems when Allah is not answering their prayers or doa?
Muslims will be greatly dishonoured, humiliated and devastated in this world
when Muslims are disobeying the first orders of Allah, which is to enjoin
peoples to good and forbidding peoples from evils. The order of enjoining
peoples to good and forbidding peoples from evil is the actions related to the
right of testifying that there is no God except Allah and Muhammad is the
Prophet of Allah. The first Pillar of Islam is to testify that there is no God
except Allah and to testify that Muhammad is the Prophet of Allah. When a
person
is reciting the Great Kalimah, he or she is doing good and when a person is
refusing to recite the Great Kalimah he or she is doing evil. When a Muslims
are
not doing the work of conveying the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslims and he
does
not pray five times daily with congregation, he is doing evils and when he or
she is conveying the Great Kalimah to the non-Muslims and he guard his five
times prayers, he or she is doing good. When Muslims are practicing the First
Pillar of Islam, their iman will become strong, they become true believers, all
their actions will have names, shapes and qualities, their prayers or doa are
granted, whatever they ask from Allah will be granted and Allah will help the
Muslims against their enemies. Once Muslims are doing the actions related to
the
First Pillar of Islam, all the other Pillars of Islam become very easy to
perform. All other actions related to the other pillars of Islam will be done
with easiness, punctuality, steadfastness and quality. When Muslims, have done
all the 5 pillars of Islam with steadfastness, punctuality and quality, their
iman will increase to the higher levels and when they have the reached the
level of iman required by Allah, they will become true believers or Mukmin and
whenever they go they will bring with them their strong iman and good actions.
When Muslims have become true believers or Mukmin, they should move in groups
around the world, inviting the non-Muslims to recite the Great Kalimah,
reminding Muslims about the Great Kalimah and inviting them to convey the Great
Kalimah to the non-Muslims and to perform five times congregational prayers
with
and to teach the Muslims who wants to be the obedient servant of Allah on how
to
perform the orders of Allah, particularly about the First and the second order
of Allah. When they are true believers or Mukmin and they move around the world
in groups, they are spreading their qualities of strong iman and good actions
throughout the whole world. Tabligh Jamat CLICK sent groups of peoples who are
devoid of strong iman and good qualities throughout the world and because of
this, iman and good actions are not spreading but what is spreading is only the
words and the picture of iman and good actions.
The Second Pillar of Islam is the performance of five times congregational
prayers with in the mosques for adult men and performance of five times prayers
in the houses for adult women. Because the Fist Pillar of Islam was neglected
by
Muslims, the iman of Muslims are very weak. Many Muslims are not performing
five
time’s daily prayers and those who do, are praying mostly in their houses. Very
few adult male Muslims are praying with congregation in the mosques and the
prayers are devoid of quality. Many Muslims are performing the third Pillar of
Islam which is fasting in the month of Ramadhan. Although many Muslims are
fasting but the fasting are also absent of quality. With the performance of
fasting, Muslims are not getting the desired qualities that should come out
from
the practice of fasting and five times prayers, because the practices are
devoid
of qualities. Although many Muslims are rich and having wealth, yet there are
very few who are performing the practice of zakat and Haj which are the fourth
and the fifth Pillars of Islam and these practices are also devoid of
qualities.
All the practices such as solat, fasting in the months of Ramadan, giving of
zakat and performance of Haj are devoid of qualities because Muslims have
forgetting and ignorant on how to practice the first Pillar of Islam. The
foundation of Islam is the Five Pillar of Islam and the foundation of the Five
Pillar of Islam is the First Pillar of Islam. Islam is destroyed when the very
foundation of Islam which is the actions associated with the First Pillar of
Islam is neglected by all Muslims.
