CONFERENCE TITLE International Conference on Humanities, Social Sciences and Technology 2012 & Global Business Management Conference 2012 2. BACKGROUND This conference was initiated by the collective effort from the Malaysian postgraduate students currently studying in the United Kingdom in 2012. This is the second annual conference that will be held in Cardiff, UK. The purpose was to promote students engaging scientifically and professionally between themselves to discuss opinions and experiences for the better success in their studies. Therefore, it is expected that the conference would include many aspects of scientific research since many Malaysian postgraduates students in the United Kingdom are from many different research backgrounds. Many series of this conference were organised in the past years by Malaysian local universities for example in 2009, 2010 and 2011 by Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Universiti Malaya and UUM respectively. The proposal for the coming conference to be held in United Kingdom was only suggested in a meeting in London (2011) between the Minister of Higher Education and the Malaysian students. To introduce research and expertise onto the international level, and to provide potential collaborating opportunities internationally. iii. To provide experience for participants presenting their research studies in an international level conference. iv. To provide participants opportunities to learn and share knowledge and experience from various postgraduates and other researchers internationally. 4. JUSTIFICATION Education Malaysia of United Kingdom and Eire and the Malaysian Postgraduate Association (MPA) are to organise this International Conference on Humanities, Science Social and Technology & GBMC in Cardiff, United Kingdom based on the following justifications: i. To enhance passing level of postgraduates students especially at PhD level in the United Kingdom and Ireland by providing a conducive platform for discussion and presentation on their research work ii.
