The Bounty of Allah

 

May 7

 

Allah replied, �Your prayers have been heard.  Follow the straight path, and do not follow the path of the ignorant.�  {Jonah 10:89}

 

When your heart becomes a seat of secrets, you will come to your destination.  Hide your inner-most thoughts, said the prophet, and you will attain your object of desire.  Seeds are buried in the earth, but their in-most secrets bloom as an exquisite garden.  {Rumi, Mathnawi, 1:175-77}

 

Each Breath
By Ibn-e-Malik

Am I truly grateful for each breath that I take,
For each and every moment that I am awake?
Do I thank Allah for my restful sleep,
And for the dreams that cause me to weep?

Am I honestly thankful to the Almighty One,
For the early morning mist, the bright, rising sun?
During Fajr prayer, I use my soft prayer mat,
As Allah�s servant, do I appreciate that?

Throughout the day, do I realize,
That Allah, All knowing and the Most Wise,
Gives me what I need and so much more
And that I have so much to be grateful for?

A grandmother�s love, a book of hadith,
The clothes that I wear, the food that I eat.
The book that I should follow, the Holy Quran,
Promoting the good and ending the wrong.

So I must ask myself every beautiful day,
Am I truly grateful for each breath that I take,
For each and every moment that I am awake?
Do I thank Allah for my restful sleep,
And for the dreams that cause me to weep?

 



O Allah, O Sufficer of the isolated and weak and Protector against terrifying affairs! Offenses have isolated me, so there is none to be my companion. I am too weak for Thy wrath and there is none to strengthen me. I have approached the terror of meeting Thee and there is none to still my fear. I beg for Your Mercy!  Ameen

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites (men) to Allah's (Islamic Monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and says: "I am one of the Muslims."} (Holy Quran-41:33)

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
