The Bounty of Allah

 

May 9

 

Abide by what has been revealed to you and forbear until Allah makes known His Judgment, for He is the best of Judges.  {Jonah 10:109}

 

He complained of his pain a hundredfold.  God said, �Grief and pain make you modest and noble.  Your real enemy is your own medicine, the elixir that seeks to win your heart.  Flee from it to solitude and seek help from God�s grace. Your friends are really your enemies for they occupy you and make you oblivious of God.� (Rumi, Mathnawi, 4:91-92, 94-96)

 

WITH THE NAME OF ALLAH THE MOST GRACIOUS THE MOST MERCIFUL


EGO


In my solitude, I feel You,

But I do not understand who you are?

I do not know whether I am dumb, deaf or blind,

But the fact remains the same that,

I will never able to apprehend you.

I know its irritating,

I know its painful,

I know its humiliating,

I know its kind of embarrassing,

There is a veil of sins between You and me

And I had tried to tear the curtain apart,

But my vices remain where they are.

That was when I realize my imperfection,

And say to myself, �How can an imperfect understands the perfect?�

But unfortunately, my ego does not want to answer this question,

Because I think I am an ARROGANT COWARD!!!!

O Allah, O Sufficer of the isolated and weak and Protector against terrifying affairs! Offenses have isolated me, so there is none to be my companion. I am too weak for Thy wrath and there is none to strengthen me. I have approached the terror of meeting Thee and there is none to still my fear. I beg for Your Mercy!  Ameen

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of camels." [al-Bukhaaree, Muslim]

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
