KARACHI: The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will observe a countrywide
protest on Friday (May 13) outside mosques against the desecration of
the Holy Quran by US forces at the Guantanamo Bay prison camps and the
humiliating cartoon against Pakistan in the Washington Times newspaper.

This was stated by the MMA and secretary general of the JI, Munawwar
Hassan, at a press conference here on Tuesday at Idara Noor-e-Haq.
Recounting unparallel cooperation of Pakistani rulers to US government
in its war against terror.

He said that, despite the "unparalleled" cooperation of the Pakistani
rulers to the US government in its "war on terror" they had failed to
appease the US, which amounted a foreign policy failure. He said the
embarrassing cartoon in the Washington Times was not against the 150
million population of Pakistan, but it targeted the country's rulers
who had been following dictates of the US government.

He said the law and order situation in Sindh had spiralled out of
control of the present coalition government and demanded that the
president of the Pakistan

Muslim League, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, interfere in the grave
situation as he had done in the Dera Bugti area of Balochistan.

He attributed the situation to the "complete control by Governor Ibad
Khan over the administrative affairs of the province. He said the
governor had sidelined Chief Minister Arbab Raheem. The JI leader said
the MQM had unleashed a reign of terror on its political opponents in
Karachi, and its student wing, the All Pakistan Mohajir Students
Organisation (APMSO), was eliminating activists of other student
organisations which also included IJT.

{And who is better in speech than he who [says: "My Lord is Allah (believes in
His Oneness)," and then stands straight (acts upon His Order), and] invites

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "By Allah, if
