I would like to share this poem below, written by my
niece Aliah.

My Mother The Heavens and Earth
bear witness that you are my mother, Tender care and
loving arms saw to your way up to Heaven, God Himself is
satisfied with you for the love you bestowed on your
children, Every sacrifice on
lonely nights, shed tears of Mercy for my mother, She is the
The foundation of the
Heavens lies in her merciful heart, My Mother is the
Mother of Mankind, She is the fortune of
every heart thirsty of the love of Allah, She hides her tears
and smiles brightly to overcome her sadness, Every joy becomes
hers once she submits herself to God’s will, My Mother; yes indeed
she is My Mother, She goes by the name
of Divine Grace and she perceives the
difficulties of every broken soul, She soothes them with
the words of Allah, She prays late in the
night amidst her flowing tears To seek nearness with
her Lord, her beautiful Friend, Though we each keep
to ourselves, In our heart divine
love flows for each other, She is my mother, my
sweet Mother, How lucky I am, I
cannot tell, Through pricks she
walks ahead, To show us children
the way to Salvation, Many a night I cannot
deny she prays for our welfare, By God’s Grace, we
are well-kept in the cocoon of divine love, By our mother’s
prayer we live, Thank you O Lord for
bestowing upon us children, The best Mother a
child can ask for. This poem is dedicated to my mother,

[al-Bukhaaree, Muslim] The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) also said, "Whoever calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
