SUMMER PICNICS

 

IFRAN-Canada Summer Picnic, Sunday, August 7^th, 2005 – Mississauga

IFRAN-Canada will be hosting a summer picnic at Mississauga Park. There will be a “yard sale”, volleyball, soccer, children’s program, and delicious food. All proceeds will support humanitarian projects worldwide. On Sunday, August 7^th, 2005 at noon. All are welcome. (For more information contact IRFAN or [EMAIL PROTECTED] )

 

A Day at the Park Picnic with MOSAIC, Sunday August 14^th, 2005 - Toronto

On Sunday August 14th, 2005, MOSAIC will be hosting a picnic at Morningside Park (Area 4, located off Morningside just south of the 401). The day’s activities will include soccer, volleyball, children's activities, a special performance by MOSAIC etc…and will include a catered lunch. Palestine House Picnic, Sunday, August 21^st, 2005 – Mississauga

Palestine House invites one and all to a barbecue and picnic. Food will be available, but you may bring your own. On Sunday, August 21^st, 2005, at Mississauga Valley Park, Area D (Mississauga Rd. & Central Parkway), from 12pm to 8pm. For more information, please contact: 905-270-3622.

The Annual Niagara Palestinian Potluck Picnic, originally scheduled for Sat Aug 27 has been cancelled.

 

Our apologies - Unfortunately something has come up that Burhan and I are not able to organize the annual picnic this year. Sorry.

 

However, if interested, we suggest that someone may still like to organize a local picnic for Niagara.

 

If someone will volunteer to reserve the location, we could all just bring our own food, drinks, plates etc. to that location, eat, and enjoy the day together socializing and getting to know the many new local Palestinians better. Some people have suggested that Burgeone Woods Park off Edgedale St. would be good. The City of St Catharines Parks and Recreation Department takes care of reservations.

 

The picnic shelter for NEXT year has been rented for Sun. June 25, 2006 (the day before the official Canada Multiculturalism Day). The pavillion rental fee of $256. which had already paid for this year has been transfered to next year.
