The Theory Of Imamate

ONE OF THE FALSE AND MISLEADING BELIEFS OF THE SHIAS
IS THAT THEY HOLD THEIR IMAMS SOMETHING OF DIVINE
ORIGIN, MCUH ABOVE THE HUMAN BEINGS. THE SHIAS EVEN
RAISE THE POSITION AND STATUS OF THEIR IMAMS ABOVE THE
PROPHETS AND MESSENGERS, SO MUCH SO THAT THEY RENDER
THEM THE CHIEFS AND LEADERS OF THE MESSENGERS. THEY
HAVE THE POWERS TO ABROGATE ORDAINED THINGS AND TO
MAKE THINGS LAWFUL WHICH WERE PREVIOUSLY UNLAWFUL.
THAT IS TO SAY THAT THEY HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO ALTER
SHARIAH.

THE ALLEGED VIRTUES AND EXCELLENCES ARE NOT PECULIAR
TO ALI ALONE, BUT THE SHIA BELIEVE THAT ALL THE TWELVE
IMAMS ARE ALSO CHARACTERISED WITH THESE VIRTUES.
ACCORDING TO SHIAS NOTHING CAN REMAIN HIDDEN FROM THE
IMAMS ALTHOUGH THIS IS IN DIRECT CONFLICT WITH THE
TEACHINGS OF THE QUR'AN. IN THE QUR'AN IT IS CLEARLY
STATED AT VARIOUS PLACES THAT THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIDDEN
THINGS BELONGS TO ALLAH ONLY.

AS AND WHEN ALI AND HIS SONS WERE ELEVATED TO THIS
EXALTED AND DIVINE RANK, ON THE INSPIRATION OF SATAN,
IT WAS INEVITUABLE FOR SHI'AS TO MAKE ALI AND HIS SONS
MASTERS OF THIS WORLD AND OF THE NEXT ALSO. AND THE
SHIAS ACTUALLY DID IT FOR THE PROGENY OF ALI.

ALTHOUGH THE SHI'I CLERGY STOP SHORT OF GIVING THE
TITLE OF 'NABI' AND RASOOL' TO HADHRAT ALI AND THOSE
WHOM THEY CONSIDER TO BE MEMBERS OF THE LEAGUE OF
THEIR TWELVE IMAMS SUPPOSEDLY DIVINELY APPOINTED, THEY
CONFER THE OFFICE OF NUBUWWAH (PROPHETHOOD) ON HADHRAT
ALI AND ALL THE IMAAMS WHOM THEY REGARD AS DIVINELY
APPOINTED. BESIDES THE WORD, NABI, AND THE WORD
RASOOL, ALL OTHER ATTRIBUTES OF NUBUWWAH AND A NABI
ARE CONFERRED TO THE SHIA TWELVE IMAAMS BY THE SHIA
PRIESTS. IN FACT, THE DOCTRINE OF IMAAMATE OF THE
SHIAHS, IS AN EXTENSION OF NUBUWWAH, IN ALL ASPECTS,
BUT NAME. AS THE QADIANIS BELIEVE THAT THE WORLD
CANNOT BE WITHOUT A MAN OF THE CALIBRE OF A NABI, SO
TOO, BELIEVE THE SHIAHS. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
THE SHIAH AND QADIANI CONCEPTION OF NUBUWWAH IN REGARD
TO THE APPEARANCE OF A NABI AFTER MUHAMMAD (SALLALLAHU
ALAYHI WASSALLAM) IS THAT WHILE THE QADIANIS HAVE
MUSTERED UP SUFFICIENT AUDACITY TO PROCLAIM SUCH A MAN
AS A NABI, THE SHIAHS HAVE NOT. THEY DESIGNATE THEIR
MAN OF PROPHETHOOD, AN 'IMAAM' WHO IN THEIR RELIGION
POSSESSES ALL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATIONS OF A
FULL-FLEDGED NABI.

KHOMENI IN HIS BOOK (WHICH IS IN FACT A COLLECTION OF
HIS SPEACHES) WRITES TO THE EFFECT THAT ALI WAS THE
FIRST CALIPH ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDMENT OF ALLAH BUT
INSTEAD HAZRAT ABU BAKAR WAS MADE THE CALIPH AND HENCE
THE CORRECT ISLAMIC SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT COULD NOT BE
ENFORCED. IN THE SAME BOOK KHOMENI UN-EQUIVOCALLY
DELARES THE SHIA BELIEF IN THE FOLLOWING WORDS: "IT IS
ONE OF THE ESSENTIALS OF OUR RELIGION THAT EACH OF THE
IMAMS OCCUPIES A POSITION WHICH NO ANGEL OR PROPHET
COULD EVER ATTAIN." (IBID, P. 52).

IF THE QADIANIS (AHMADIS) NAVE BEEN DECLARED OUTSIDE
THE PALE OF ISLAM ON ACCOUNT OF THE FACT THAT THEY DO
NOT RECOGNISE THE FINALITY OF PROPHETHOOD OF MUHAMMAD
(S.A.W.) WHAT COULD BE SAID OF THE SHIAS WHO CONSIDER
RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) AND OTHER PROPHETS INFERIOR TO THEIR
IMAMS?

IMPACT INTERNATIONAL VOL. 14:16 REPORTS SOME
PREPOSTEROUS OBSERVATIONS MADE BY KHOMEINI AT THE
BIRTHDAY ANNIVERSARY OF THE SHI'I IMAM RAZA WHICH ARE
THE FOLLOWING:

(1) THE FAILURE TO ACHIEVE AN ISLAMIC SYSTEM OF
GOVERNMENT RIGHT FROM THE TIME OF RASULULLAH
(SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) UNTIL THE PRESENT DAY.
ACCORDING TO KHOMEINI THE ISLAMIC SYSTEM OF GOVERNMENT
WAS NOT ACHIEVED EVEN BY RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI
WASSALLAM).

(2) HADHRAT ALI (RADHIALLAHU ANHU) WAS NOT ALLOWED TO
REVEAL THE SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE WHICH HE OBTAINED FROM
RASULLULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) AND THAT THIS
"SPECIAL" KNOWLEDGE WAS APART FROM THE QUR'AN SHAREEF.

(3) HADHRAT ALI (RADHIALLAHU ANHU) AND THE IMAMS DID
NOT FIND ANYONE TO WHOM THEY COULD IMPART THEIR
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE QUR'AN.
THUS THIS SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE
QUR'AN DEPARTED WITH THE IMAMS.

(4) THE QUR'AN TODAY IS VEILED IN MYSTERY AND ITS
MEANINGS ARE HIDDEN.

(5) THE INTERPRETATIONS OF THE EXISTING QUR'AN, FROM
THE BEGINNING TO THE PRESENT, ARE NOT THE
INTERPRETATIONS OF THE QUR'AN BUT ARE TRANSLATIONS
WHICH RESEMBEL THE QUR'AN.

ALTHOUGH THESE ARE SHOCKING STATEMENTS OF KUFR, THEY
ARE NOT SUPRISING TO THOSE WHO HAVE MADE A STUDY OF
SHI'ISM. IN THE CLAIM THAT HADHRAT ALI (RADHIALLAHU
ANHU) WAS ENDOWED WITH SECRET KNOWLEDGE WHICH IS NOT
TO BE FOUND IN THE QUR'AN AND SUNNAH, IS THE
IMPLICATION THAT ISLAM IS IN AN IMPERFECT AND
INCOMPLETE STATE. FURTHERMORE, THE ALLEGATION THAT
HADHRAT ALI (RADHIALLAHU ANHU) WAS PREVENTED FROM
REVEALING THE KNOWLEDGE WHICH HE GAINED FROM
RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASSALLAM) IMPLIES THAT
A CONSIDERABLE PART OF ISLAM IS MISSING AND HAVE
ALWAYS BEEN MISSING. THIS CLAIM NEGATES THE QURANIC
VERSE: "THIS DAY HAVE I PERFECTED FOR YOU YOUR
DEEN......" (5:3).

IN VIEW OF THE SHI'I BLASPHEMOUS CLAIM THAT ON THE
DEMISE OF RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) THE
OVERWHELMING MAJORITY OF SAHAABAH BECAME MURTED
(APOSTATE - NAUTHUBILLAAH!). IT IS NOT AT ALL
SURPRISING FOR KHOMEINI TO ASSERT THAT AN ISLAMIC
GOVERNMENT WAS NEVER ACHIEVED.

MUTA (PROSTITUTION), FALSEHOOD AND TRICKERY ARE THE
TOOLS OF SHI'ISM. SHIAHS DO NOT HESITATE IN THE
EMPLOYMENT OF THESE EVILS IN THE PURSUIT AND
ATTAINMENT OF THEIR MOTIVES AND DESIGNS. FORGING PROOF
FOR THEIR RELIGION, THE SHIAHS ATTRIBUTE THE FOLLOWING
LIES TO HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) IN REGARD TO
HADHRAT ABU BAKR (RADIALLAHU ANHU), THE FIRST KHALIFAH
OF RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM):

"AT LAST THE FIRST CALIPH DIED, BUT WHILE GOING HE
APPOINTED ANOTHER TO FILL THIS VACANCY. IT IS NOT
ASTONISHING THAT DURING HIS LIFETIME HE WAS ALWAYS
BADLY IN NEED OF THE HELP OF OTHERS TO COMPENSATE FOR
HIS IMPERFECTIONS AND DEFECTS AND TO COVER HIS FAULTS
AND FAILURES, BUT AT THE TIME OF HIS DEATH HE THOUGHT
HIMSELF TO BE WISE AND LEANED ENOUGH TO FIX AND
APPOINT SOMEBODY TO CARRY ON THE DUTIES AT WHICH HE
WAS A COMPLETE FAILURE HIMSELF.

"BOLDLY AND UNSERUPUOUSLY HE AND HIS SUCCESSOR (A
REFERENCE TO HADHRAT UMAR), EACH IN TURN, PILLAGED AND
PLUNDERED THE WEALTH OF THE COMMUNITY LEAVING THE
STATE IN SUCH SADLY INJURED CONDITION THAT THE PASSAGE
OF TIME WAS INCREASING THE INTENSITY OFTHE INJURY....
BUT IT WAS CARRIED ON UNDER THE GUISE OF LAW AND ORDER
AND MANY UNGODLY ARROGATIONS AND MANY MORE WILL BE
REPEATED IN THE FUTURE.

"CONSEQUENTLY THE THIRD (I.E. HADHRAT UTHMAAN) PROUDLY
TOOK CHARGE THE CALIPHATE AS IF IT WAS A PRIVATE
GRAZING GROUND AND WITH BLOATED STOMACHS HE AND
MEMBERS OF HIS CLAN (BANI UMAYYA) STARTED PLUNDERING
THE WEALTH OF THE MUSLIM WORLD IN THE SAME RECKLESS
GLUTTONOUS MANNER WHICH CHARACTERIZES A CAMEL WHEN IT
DEVOURS HARVEST GRASS. HOWEVER, THIS MAN MET AN
UNTIMELY DEATH. THE GREED OF HIS CLAN WAS THE CAUSE OF
HIS UNDOING." (NAHJUL BALAAGHAH).

AMEERUL MU'MINEEN HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) NEVER
UTTERED SUCH FALSEHOOD, SLANDER, ABUSE, INSULT AND
VULGARITY. SUCH ABUSE AND VITUPERATION ARE THE STOCK
WEAPONS OF SHI'ISM. HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) HAD
THE UTMOST RESPECT AND HONOUR FOR HADHRAT ABU BAKR,
HADHRAT UMAR AND HADHRAT UTHMAAN (RADIALLAHU ANHUM).
IN FACT, HADHRAT ALI (RADIALLAHU ANHU) TOOK THE OATH
OF ALLEGIENCE (BA'YT) ON THE HANDS OF THE FIRST THREE
KHULFA RAASHIDEEN. THE VILE METHODS OF FALSEHOOD
EMPLOYED BY THE SHIA CLERICS AMPLY DEMONSTRATE THE
BAATIL OF THIS DEVIOUS SECT WHICH HAS GREAT AFFINITY
WITH THE KHWAARJI SECT.

MUHAMMAD BAQIR SADR, A LEADING SHIA THEOLOGIAN STATES:
"THE SHIAH BELIEVED THAT ALI SHOULD HAVE RULED INSTEAD
OF THESE THREE CALIPHS, AND SHOULD HAVE ASSUMED THE
CALIPHATE IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE PROPHET."

ACCORDING TO SHI'I BELIEF THE SAHABA IN GENERAL AND
HADHRAT ABU BAKR AND HADHRAT UMAR (RADIALLAHU ANHUM)
IN PARTICULAR, DEFIED RASULLULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI
WASALLAM), REJECTED HIS APPOINTMENT OF HADHRAT ALI
(RADHIALLAHU ANHU) AS THE KHALIFAH AFTER HIM
(SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM). HENCE THE SHIAHS REVILE,
ABUSE AND SLANDER THESE GREAT COMPANIONS OF
NABI-E-KAREEM (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM) ON THE
BASIS OF THE FALLACY CONCOCTED BY THE MURDERERS OF
AMEERUL MU'MINEEN SAYYIDUNA UTHMAAN (RADIALLAHU ANHU).
THE ACTUAL FOUNDERS OF THE SHIAH SECT WERE THE
MURDERERS OF HADHRAT UTHMAN (RADIALLAHU ANHU.

ABOUT THE SAHAABAH IN GENERAL, MURTAZA MUTAHHIRI, THE
CLERIC OF THE SHIA RELIGION, SAYS:

".... THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM WERE VIOLATED AT THE
HANDS OF THESE VERY PEOPLE WHO HAD SERVED ISLAM FOR A
LONG TIME....

SO, ACCORDING TO SHI'ISM, HADHRAT ABU BAKR, UMAR,
UTHMAN AND THE VAST MAJORITY OF SAHAABAH WHO HAD
SERVED ISLAM, IN THE END TURNED THEIR BACKS ON ISLAM
AND VIOLATED THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM. IF THOSE GREAT
AND ILLUSTRIOUS SONS OF IMAAN AND ISLAM DID SO, DO WE
EXPECT KHOMEINI AND THE SHIAHS WHO SPRANG FROM THE
MURDER OF AMEERUL MU'MINEEN HADHRAT UTHMAAN
(RADIALLAHU ANHU) TO UPHOLD THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM?
THE VILLAINY OF HADHRAT UTHMAN'S MURDERERS PERMEATES
AND SUSTAINS THE ENTIRE SHI'I MOVEMENT, HENCE
MUTAHHIRI COULD BE SO CALOUS TO MAKE THE ABOVE QUOTED
OBSERVATION IN DENIGRATION OF THE BELOVED SAHAABAH OF
RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WASALLAM). THE ABOVE
STATEMENT APPEARED IN TEHRAN TIMES OF 25TH AUGUST,
1982.

EXPLAINING THE THEORY OF IMAMATE, KHOMEINI IN HIS
PERSIAN BOOK WRITES:

"AFTER THE DEATH OF THE PROPHET OF ISLAM THE TWO
TOPICES (CONCERNING IMAMATE) WHOSE OBLIGATORY NATURE
WE HAVE DERIVED FROM COMMONSENSE- THE SHIAS OPPOSETHE
SUNNIS FROM THE VERY FIRST DAY. THOSE RESPECTABLE
COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET WHO WERE CONSIDERED NOBLE BY
ALL THE MUSLIMS AND NO ONE HAD SAID ANYTHING ABOUT
THEM WHICH COULD CAST ANY DOUBT ON THEIR CHARACTER,
SUCH AS AMIR-UL-MOMINEEN ALI BIN ABU TALIB, HASAN,
HUSSAIN, SALMAN FARSI, ABU DHARR GHIFFARI, MIQDAD,
AMMAR BIN YASIR, ABBAS, IBN ABBAS ETC. ROSE IN
OPPOSITION AND DEMANDED THAT IN RESPECT OF (MEN IN
AUTHORITY) THE COMMANDMENT OF ALLAH AND HIS MESSENGER
SHOULD BE ENFORCED. BUT NARROW PAROCHIAL
CONSIDERATIONS DIVIDED MEN FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AND
SIDETRACKED THE RULING OF WISEMEN. GREED AND LUST IN
EVERY AGE HAS ENDEAVOURED TO DEMOLISH TRUTH AND
REALITY; THE SAME WORKED ON THIS DAY AS WELL. HISTORY
BEARS TESTIMONY THAT WHEN THE AFORESAID RESPECTED
PEOPLE WERE BUSY IN GIVING A BURIAL TO THE PROPHET
(SAW), THE ASSEMBLY AT BANU SAQIFAH ELECTED ABU BAKR
FOR RUNNING THE GOVERNMENT AND ON THE SAME DAY THE
FOUNDATION STONE WAS DISTURBED. AFTER THE FIRST PHASE
OF ISLAM THERE CONTINUED DISCUSSIONS AMONG THE SHIAS
AND SUNNIS. THE SHIAS-FOLLOWERS OF ALI - CONTENDED
THAT THE VERDICT OF COMMONSENSE IS THAT IMAMATE
(CHOICE OF IMAM) RESTS WITH ALLAH AND CALIPHS AND
SULTANS ARE NOT WORTHY OF IT AND ONLY ALI AND HIS
SINLESS PROGENY ARE . THEY HAVE NEVER UTTERED A WORD
AGAINST THE COMMANDMENTS OF ALLAH AND NEITHER SAY NOW;
THEIR APPOINTMENT TO THIS POSITION IF FROM THE
PROPHET. THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED LATER AND I WILL PROVE
THAT THE PROPHET OF ISLAM HAS MADE THE APPOINTMENT OF
THE IMAM AND HE IS ALI BIN ABU TALIB." (P. 141).

HERE IT MUST BE MADE CLEAR THAT AFTER THE SAD DEMISE
OF THE PROPHET, ALTHOUGH THERE WAS DIFFERENCE OF
OPINION OVER THE ELECTION OF A CALIPH BUT IN THE END
ALL THE COMPANIONS UNANIMOUSLY ACCEPTED ABU BAKR AS .
HADHRAT ALI AND ZUBAIR WHO TOOK THE OATH OF ALLEGIANCE
(BA'YT) ON THE HANDS OF HADHRAT ABU BAKR A LITTLE
LATTER THAN OTHER COMPANIONS OF THE PROPHET EXPRESSED
THE CAUSE OF THEIR DELAY THUS: "WE ARE SORRY THAT WE
WERE LEFT BEHIND IN CONSULTATION; OTHERWISE WE
CONSIDER ABU BAKR MOST SUITED AND DESERVING FOR THE
CALIPHATE THAN ALL THE PEOPLE BECAUSE HE WAS A COMRADE
OF THE PROPHET (S.A.W.) IN THE CAVE. WE ADMIT HIS
SENIORITY AND FINE QUALITIES. AND THE PROPHET (SAW)
SELECTED HIM IN HIS LIFETIME FOR LEADING THE PEOPLE IN
CONGREGATIONAL PRAYERS."

IT IS OBVIOUS THAT HAD HADHRAT ABU BAKR (R.A) NOT BEEN
THE RIGHTFUL OCCUPANT OF CALIPHATE, HADHRAT ALI AND
HADHRAT ABBAS WOULD HAVE DISPUTED WITH HIM JUST AS ALI
DID LATTER WITH HADHRAT MUAWIYAH (R.A). THUS HADHRAT
ABU BAKR WAS ELECTED AS THE CALIPH BY CONSENSUS ( ).
THE SHIAS AFTERWARDS IN THE NAME OF ALI DENIED THE
CALIPHATE OF ABU BAKR, UMAR AND USMAN AND LAID THE
FOUNDATION OF A NEW RELIGION. THE CLAIM OF KHOMEINI
THAT THE OBJECT OF VERSE IS THE TWELVE IMAMS FROM ALI
TO MAHDI WHO WERE NOMINATED BY ALLAH AND RASUL ALLAH
HAVE NO BASIS IN THE QURAN AND NEITHER THERE ARE ANY
AUTHENTIC SAYINGS OF THE PROPHET (SAW) TO THIS EFFECT.

SINCE KHOMEINI DOES NOT CONSIDER HADHRAT'S ABU BAKR,
UMAR AND USMAN AS RIGHTFUL CALIPHS BECAUSE OF HIS
BELIEF IN THE IMAMATE THEORY, HE HOLDS THEM AS
TRANSGRESSORS AND OPPONENTS OF THE QUR'AN (GOD
FORBID). IN THE ABOVE REFERRED BOOK HE MADES ONE
HEADLINE VIZ "ABU BAKR HAS CLEARLYVIOLATED THE
INJUNCTIONS OF THE QUR'AN." IN THIS CONTEXT HE ALSO
WRITES THAT HADHRAT ABU BAKR DID NOT ACCEPT THE CLAIM
OF HADHRAT FATIMA (R.A) OVER THE FIDK GARDEN AND DID
NOT AWARD LEGAL PUNISHMENT TO KHALID BIN WALID FOR
CERTAIN ALLEGED CRIMES. SHIA WRITERS LIKE AL-QUMMI AND
OTHERS NARRATE THAT KHALID RAIDED THE TOWN OF MALIK
IBN NUWARIRA FOR THE SOLE PURPOSE OF MARRYING THE
PRETTY. WIFE OF MALIK WHICH IS A FALSE AND FABRICATED
STORY. THE FACT IS THAT MALIK IBN NAWARIRA, A NON
MUSLIM LEADER WAS KILLED IN AN ENOUNTER WITH THE
MUSLIM ARMY AND HIS WIFE WAS TAKEN AS A CAPTIVE (IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE RECOGNISED ISLAMIC PRACTICE) BY
KHALID WHO LATER MARRIED HER. THE PROPHET (SAW) ONCE
REMARKED ABOUT KHALID BIN WALID:" KHALID IS ONE OF THE
SWORDS OF ALLAH, THE MIGHTY, THE POWERFUL, AND HE IS
THE FINE WARRIOR OF THE TRIBE." (AHMAD). "KHALID BIN
AL-WALID IS A GOOD SERVANT OF ALLAH; HE IS ONE OF
ALLAH'S SWORD." (TIRMIDHI).

KHOMENI IN THE MIRROR OF HIS OWN WRITINGS - HIS
OPINION ABOUT HADHRAT ABU BAKR, UMAR, USMAN, SAHABAH
AND AHLE-SUNNAH:

THE FOLLOWING IS THE SUBSTANCE OF KHOMENI'IS WRITINGS
IN HIS FAMOUS BOOK (PP. 112-120) WHICH HAS BECOME VERY
RARE SINCE THE SO-CALLED "ISLAMIC REVOLUTION" IN IRAN
IN FEBRUARY 1979 MOST PROBABLY ON THE ASSUMPTION THAT
SUNNI MUSLIMS MAY NOT KNOW HIS INNER-CURRENTS AND THUS
TURN AWAY FROM HIM:

(1) SHAIKHEEN ABU BAKR AND UMAR HAD NOT ACCPTED THE
FAITH OF ISLAM FROM THE HEART OF THEIR HEARTS BUT DID
SO OUTWARDLY ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF WORDLY GAIN AND
POWER AND TAGGED THEMSELVES TO RASUL-ALLAH (SAW).

(2) THEY HAD HATCHED A PLAN TO WREST POWER AFTER THE
DEMISE OF RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) FOR WHICH THEY WERE
PLOTTING FROM THE VERY BEGINNING AND FORMED A PARTY OF
THEIR LIKE-MINDED PERSONS. ALL WERE UNITED IN THEIR
DESIRE TO ASSUME AUTHORITY AFTER RASUL-ALLAH (SAW).
THEY HAD NO CONCERN WITH ISLAM AND THE QUR'AN.

(3) EVEN IF THE IMAMATE AND CALIPHATE HAD BEEN
MENTIONED SPECIFICALLY IN THE QUR'AN THESE PEOPLE
WOULD NOT HAVE GIVEN UP THEIR MISSION AND PLAN FOR
WHICH THEY HAD TAGGED THEMSELVES WITH ISLAM &
RASUL-ALLAH (SAW). THEY WOULD HAVE PLAYED ALL THE
DIRTY TRICKS AND TACTICS THEIR GOAL AND WOULD HAVE
NEVER CARED FOR THE DIVINE COMMANDMENTS.

(4) TO ACT AGAINST THE QUR'ANIC INJUNCTIONS AND DIVINE
COMMANDMENTS WAS A ORDINARY ROUTINE MATTER FOR THEM.
THEY OPPOSED SEVERAL INJUNCTIONS OF THE QUR'AN AND
NEVER PAID ANY HEED TO THE DIVINE COMMANDMENTS.

(5) IF FOR ACHIEVING THEIR GOAL (I.E. GOVERNMENT
POWER) THEY FELT IT NECESSARY TO SUPPRESS AND EXCLUDE
THOSE VERSES OF THE QUR'AN WHICH DEALT WITH THE
IMAMATE OF ALI THEY WOULD HAVE DONE SO EASILY.

(6) IF THEY HAD NOT SUPPRESSED/EXCLUDED SUCH VERSES
FROM THE QUR'AN, THEY COULD HAVE DONE AND WOULD HAVE
DONE SO BY CONCOCTING A HADITH TO THE EFFECT THAT
DURING HIS LAST DAYS RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) DECLARED THAT
THE QUESTION OF IMAM AND CALIPH WILL BE DECIDED BY
SHURA (CONSULTATIONS) AND ALI WHO HAD BEEN NOMINATED
EARLIER FOR THE OFFICE OF IMAMATE (TO WHICH A
REFERENCE HAS BEEN MADE IN THE QUR'AN) HAS BEEN
DISMISSED FROM THIS POSITION.

(7) THIS IS ALSO POSSIBLE THAT UMAR WOULD HAVE SAID
ABOUT THOSE QUR'ANIC VERSES (RELATING TO THE IMAMATE
OF ALI) THAT EITHER ALMIGHTLY ALLAH HAD ERRED IN THE
REVELATIONS OF THESE VERSES OR ANGEL GABRIEL OR
RASUL-ALLAH HAD ERRED IN THIER TRANSMISSION.

(8) NARRATING THE INCIDENT OF HADITH QURTAS IT IS
STATED CANDIDLY THAT THE EXPRESSION OF UMAR ON THIS
OCCASION WAS AN INDICATION OF HIS IRRELIGIOUSITY AND
KUFR. THAT IS IN THE HEART OF HIS HEARTS HE WAS A
KAFIR & ZINDEEQ (INFIDEL AND IRRELIGIOUS).

(9) IF THE SHAIKHEEN AND THEIR FOLLOWERS FELT THAT
THEY WOULD NOT WREST POWER IN THE FACE OF THE QUR'ANIC
DECLARATION ABOUT THE IMAMATE OF ALI AND THEY COULD
ACHIEVE THIS PURPOSE BY RENOUNCING ISLAM, THEY WOULD
HAVE DONE SO. AND BY FOLLOWING THE EXAMPLE OF ABU
JAHAL AND ABU LAHAB THEY AND THERE FOLLOWERS WOULD
HAVE ARRAYED AGAINST ISLAM AND MUSLIMS.

(10) USMAN, MUAIWYA AND YAZID WERE TYRANTS AND
CULPRITS OF THE SAME ORDER.

(11) THE GENERAL CONDITION OF THE PEOPLE (COMPANIONS
OF THE PROPHET) WAS THAT THEY HAD JOINED THE PARTY OF
SHAIKHEEN (ABU BAKR AND UMAR) AND WERE HAND-IN-GLOVE
WITH THEM IN THE STATE AFFAIRS (OUT OF THE DESIRE FOR
SELF-GAIN) AND THERE WERE OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE AFRAID
OF SHAIKHEEN AND COULD'T DARE TO UTTER A SINGLE WORD
AGAINST THEM.

(12) THE ATTITUDE OF SUNNI MUSLIMS WAS THAT WHATEVER
ABU BAKR & UMAR DID IN VIOLATION OF THE INJUNCTIONS OF
THE QUR'AN THOSE PEOPLE ACCEPTED AND FOLLOWED IT IN
GOOD FAITH. UMAR BROUGHT ABOUT ALTERATIONS IN THE
ISLAMIC SHARI'AH AND ISSUED INSTRUCTIONS BY-PASSING
THE INJUNCTIONS OF THE QUR'AN BUT THE SUNNIS SETTING
ASIDE THE INJUNCTIONS OF THE QUR'AN FOLLOWED THE
TEMPERINGS OF UMAR AND ACCEPTED HIS INSTRUCTIONS AND
GUIDLINES AND ACTED ON THESE (IN CONTRAST TO THE
REQUIREMENTS OF ISLAMIC SHARI'AH).

THE ABOVE ARE, IN A NUTSHELL, SOME OF THE SACRILEGEOUS
UTTERANCES AND ASPERIONS AGAINST SHEIKHEEN AND THE
SAHABAH BY KHOMENI WHO POSES HIMSELF AS THE UNDISPUTED
CHIEF OR SUPREME LEADER OF THE ISLAMIC WORLD. 

IN THE RELIGIOUS TERMINOLOGY OF SHIAS, NASABAI IS AN
EXPRESSION OF ABUSE. ACCORDING TO SHIAS, ANYONE WHO
CONSIDERS SHAIKHEEN (HADHRAT'S ABU BAKR AND UMAR) AS
RIGHTFUL CALIPHS AND DOES NOT CONSIDER HADHRAT ALI AS
"IMAM" IN THE SAME WAY AS SHIAS CONSIDER HIM ALTHOUGH
HE MAY ACCEPT HADHRAT ALI AS THE RIGHTFUL CALIPH AS IS
THE BELIEF AND PRACTICE OF AHLE-SUNNAH IS A NASABI.
ALLAMA BAQIR MAJLISI IN HIS BOOK HAQUL YAQEEN WHILE
DESCRIBING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE "PEOPLE OF
FIRE," MAKES ONE SHUDDER TO THINK THAT ON THE DAY OF
JUDGEMENT THE NASABIES WILL MEET THE SAME FATE AS THE
KAFIRS I.E. THEY WILL BE CONSIGNED TO HELL-FIRE
ETERNALLY.

THIS IS IN BRIEF THE GLIMPSES OF IMAMATE TO WHICH
KHOMENI AND OTHER SHIA PRIESTS ARE DRAGGING THE MUSLIM
UMMAH. THE SHIA THEORY OF IMAMATE IS THE NEGATION OF
PROPHET'S MISSION AND ALLAH'S DECLARATION IN THE
QUR'AN ("MUHAMMAD IS THE MESSENGER OF ALLAH AND THE
SEAL OF THE PROPHETS"). BY A CONCERTED COMPAIGN OF
ENLIGHTMENT MUSLIMS EVERYWHERE MUST BE MADE AWARE OF
THIS CONSPIRACY WHICH IS A GREAT THREAT TO THEIR IMAN
(FAITH).

2. THUS ACCORDING TO THE SHIAS, THE GREAT SAHABAH,
EVEN THE ELITE AMONG THEM SUCH AS THE KHLAFA RASHIDEEN
WHO WERE TRAINED DIRECTLY BY RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) WERE
NOT DEVELOPED SPIRITUALLY & CULTURALLY TO RULE ISLAMIC
EMPIRE. BUT KHOMENI POSSESSES SUCH QUALIFICATION AND
THE HORDE OF SHIA PRIESTS POSSESS SUCH QUALIFICATIONS
AND THE MURDERERS OF AMEERUL MEMINEEN, SAAYYIDUNA
OTHMAN (R.A) POSSESSED SUCH QUALIFICATIONS!!
IT IS BECAUSE OF THIS KUFR BELIEF THAT THE MISSION OF
RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) NOT BEING COMPLETED THAT THE SHIAS
INTRODUCED THE DOCTRINE OF IMAMATE WHICH IS IN ACTUAL
FACT THE PERPETUATION OF RISAALAT (PROPHETHOOD). THE
SHIAS EXTENDED THE RISAALAT OF RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) INTO
THE PERSON OF THEIR TWELVE IMAMS WHO ACCORDING TO SHIA
THEOLOGY ARE SUPERIOR TO MANY AMBIYAA (PROPHETS). THEY
HAVE ASSIGNED ALL THE ATTRIBUTES OF NUBUWWAH TO THE
TWELVE IMAMS SO THAT THE IMAMS CAN COMPLETE WHAT
RASUL-ALLAH (SAW) LEFT UNFINISHED OF HIS RISAALAT
(---). 

3. IT IS REPORTED THAT ON HADHRAT ABU BAKR'S ELECTION
TO CALIPHATE, HADHRAT FATIMAH (R.A) ACCOMPANIED BY HER
GRAND UNCLE HADHRAT 'ABBAS (R.A) WENT TO SEE HADHRAT
ABU BAKR, AND ASKED HIM NOT ONLY TO DISTRIBUTE THE
PROPERTY LEFT BY THE HOLY PROPHET AMONG HIS HEIRS, BUT
ALSO TO GIVE THE REGION OF FADAK EXCLUSIVELY TO HER
ETC. CAN SHE GO WITHOUT THE CONSENT AND EVEN DIRECTION
OF HER HUSBAND HADHRAT ALI (R.A.)? WHY DID SHE GO TO
HIM, IF NOT BECAUSE SHE AND HER HUSBAND AND HER GRAND
UNCLE, ALL RECOGNISED IN HIM A LAWFUL INCUMBENT OF THE
CALIPHATE? FOR IF THAT WAS NOT SO SHE HAD TO TELL
HADHRAT ABU BAKR TO QUIT THE OFFICE IN FAVOUR OF HER
HUSBAND THE SO-CALLED HEIR-PRESUMPTIVE OF THE HOLY
PROPHET (SAW). FOR FURTHER DETAILS PLEASE SEE CHAPTER
21. 

4. THE SHIAS GREATLY EXPLOIT THIS HADHITH ABOUT THE
WILL OF HOLY PROPHET (SAW) IN REGARD TO THE
SUCCESSTION OF HADHRAT ALI WHICH IS NOT AL ALL
CORRECT. A DETAILED DISCUSSION REGARDING THIS HADITH
FOLLOWS AT p. 112 HERE IS THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF
THIS HADITH: 
IBN ABBAS REPORTED: WHEN ALLAH'S MESSENGER (SAW) WAS
ABOUT TO LEAVE THIS WORLD, THERE WERE PERSONS (AROUND
HIM) IN HIS HOUSE, UMAR B. AL KHATTAB BEING ONE OF
THEM, ALLAH'S MESSENGER (SAW) SAID: "COME, I MAY WRITE
FOR YOU A DOCUMENT; YOU WOULD NOT GO ASTRAY AFTER
THAT. THEREUPON 'UMAR SAID: VERILY ALLAH'S MESSENGER
(SAW) IS DEEPLY AFFLICTED WITH PAIN. YOU HAVE THE
QUR'AN WITH YOU. THE BOOK OF ALLAH IS SUFFICIENT FOR
US. THOSE WHO WERE PRESENT IN THE HOUSE DIFFERED......
IN ANOTHER VERSION WHEN THE COMPANIONS AROUND HIM
DISPUTED (ON THIS ISSUE) THE HOLY PROPHET (SAW) SAID:
LAVE ME. I AM BETTER IN THE STATE (THAN THE ONE IN
WHICH YOU ARE ENGAGED). I MAKE A WILL ABOUT THREE
THINGS: TURN OUT THE POLYTHEISTS FROM THE TERRITORY OF
ARABIA; SHOW HOSPITALITY TO THE (FOREIGN) DELEGATIONS
AS I USED TO SHOW THEM HOSPITALITY. HE (IBN ABBAS)
KEPT SILENT ON THE THIRD POINT, OR HE (THE NARRATOR)
SAID: BUT I FORGOT THAT: (MUSLIM).
A MINUTE STUDY OF EVENTS FALSIFIES THE CLAIMS OF THOSE
WHO ASSERT THAT IN THIS WILL THE HOLY PROPHET (SAW)
WAS GOING TO NOMINATE HADHRAT ALI AS HIS SUCCESSOR. IT
WAS ON THURSDAY THAT HIS ILLNESS TOOK A SERIOUS TURN,
BUT THERE WAS MARKED IMPROVEMENT DURING THE NEXT FOUR
DAYS, SINCE HE WENT TO THE MOSQUE AND LED A FEW
PRAYERS ALSO. HE BREATHED HIS LAST ON MONDAY. BETWEEN
THURSDAY AND MONDAY, HE ADDRESSED THE VISITORS MANY A
TIME AND ADVISED THEM ABOUT DIFFERENT THINGS. IF THE
MATTER FOR WHICH HE ASKED FOR THE WRITING MATERIAL TO
BE BROUGHT TO HIM HAD BEEN OF GREAT IMPORTANCE HE HAD
ENOUGH TIME AND SEVERAL OPPORTUNITIES TO DO SO BUT ON
NO OCCASION DID HE MAKE MENTION OF THE CALIPHATE OF
HADHRAT ALI AFTER HIM. THE AHADITH WHICH GIVE THE
DETAILED ACCOUNT OF HIS LAST ILLNESS RECORD EVERY WORD
OF HIS THAT HE UTTERED AND EVERY MOVEMENT THAT HE
MADE, BUT GIVE NO INDICATION OF HADHRAT ALI BEING HIS
IMMEDIATE SUCCESSOR.

SECONDLY IT IS WRONG TO INFER FROM HADHRAT UMAR'S
STATEMENT "THE BOOK OF ALLAH IS SUFFICIENT FOR US,"
THAT ONE DOES NOT REQURIE HADITH FOR RIGHT GUIDANCE.
THE SUNNAH IS THE SECOND IMPORTANT SOURCE OF THE
ISLAMIC SHARI'AH, THE QUR'AN BEING THE FIRST ONE, AS
IT HAS BEEN STRESSED UPON IN SO MANY VERSES OF THE
QUR'AN AND THE INJUNCTIONS CONTAINED IN SO MANY
AHADITH. WHAT HADHRAT UMAR AT THAT CRITICAL JUNCTURE
WANTED TO STRESS WAS THAT RELIGION HAS BEEN PERFECTED
TO ALL INTENTS AND PURPOSES, AND NOTHING HAS BEEN LEFT
UNSAID, WHICH IT WAS ESSENTIAL TO SAY IN REGARD TO THE
ISLAMIC SHARI'AH. THERE WAS, THEREFORE NO NEED TO GIVE
ANY TROUBLE TO THE HOLY PROPHET (SAW) AT THAT MOMENT
WHEN HE WAS SERIOUSLY ILL. THIS STAND OF HADHRAT UMAR
SEEMS TO BE QUITE PLAUSIBLE AND CONSISTENT WITH THAT
CRITICAL SITUATION.
REGARDING THE CONCLUDING PORTION OF THIS HADITH,
OPINIONS DIFFER AS TO WHAT WAS THE THIRD PIECE OF
ADVICE. SOME OF THE SCHOLARS ARE OF THE VIEW THAT IT
WAS ABOUT THE PROPHET'S WARNING AGAINST HOLDING HIS
GRAVE AS A PLACE OF WORSHIP ETC. WHATEVER IT MIGHT
HAVE BEEN ONE THING IS CLEAR THAT THE HOLY PROPHET
(SAW) MUST HAVE MADE IT EXPLICIT ON SOME PREVIOUS
OCCASION AS HE COULD NOT HAVE LEFT ANYTHING INCOMPLETE
BEFORE LEAVING FOR HIS HEAVENLY HOME.

Allah guides one person by you, it is better for you than the best types of

The prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him)  also said, "Whoever 
calls to guidance will have a reward similar to the reward of the one who 
follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
