Our `Back to School' program and giving away free academic books-
exercise books and stationery along with counselor reaching to poor
families is on. With guidance and medical / psychological treatment
to those children.
The task is so giant-the devastation- destruction due to deluge is
so high- an individual cannot cope with it.
We appeal to ALL to send in their help directly or indirectly or do
it yourself.

Help for School - children- mental trauma Affected due to of
Flood / destruction of their house / properties recent torrential
rains in Mumbai
Urgent help required for eradication of this fear- `Back to school'
program with Academic Books and exercise books etc.
We are in the field of the education counseling and guidance as also
all kinds of assistance required for educational development growth
of the students.
We at Alif Academy always strived for the welfare guidance
counseling of the students by conducting classes for them to study
better, how to overcome fear of exam and how to prepare better for
the exam. Write the exam papers to secure more marks. During past
three years we have covered over 30 schools and 1000 students across
the city of Mumbai and elsewhere in nearby states also.
At present the `NEED' of the hour is to eradicate this fear of
flood/ tension created in their minds due loss of lives, their near
dear ones, neighbours, loss of household properties, houses,
shanties and zopadpattis, the ghettos in which they were living.
Irreparable damage to their psyche. Which will not send them back to
School.
As usual the poor middle class, whose all earnings/ savings
invested in their household has been lost, the Government machinery
is just not sufficient and efficient to provide ALL kinds of help,
at the most, food ration for few days, the old torn- worn clothes
sent in by various relief activities group- the photo savvy leaders
and pseudo social workers will give away less and take the credit-
publicity through this type of campaign like vulture sitting on
dead body- carcass- enjoying the God sent picnic and again showing
the colour of their feathers, for that matter ALL politicians of ALL
caste- parties are Birds of same colour feathers- the degree of
the intensity depends upon their background creed and amount of
damage caused in their area so that they can shed `bigger' crocodile
tears.
The motto of writing this story is not mud slinging but people have
seen and our eyes are so soar that it can not bring out even
real `tears' in our eyes, because we have that heat temper of
doing something rather then showing something.
No matter the Government help comes or not as already several NGOs
are engaged- busy in collecting the data of damages/ losses, the
food subsidy to be made available and cash dole for repairs of the
house property etc.
No body has ever thought of HELP for trauma care and mental revival
of the children for "BACK to SCHOOL' program .
The poor parents, who are already hard working labourer would not
send their children back to school as everything is already lost,
they will find an alternative or an opportunity to rope them in for
extra earning for their livelihood.
We appeal to All our well wishers to send in all the help possible
in cash kind academic- non academic books, stationery writing
material to Mumbai. We have made special arrangement to collect the
same in South Mumbai area of Dongri- Bhendi Bazar, Mohd Ali Raod,
Byculla, Nagpada etc. we also have representatives / Offices at Mira
Road, Nallasopara, Malad, Goregaon, Kurla Sion , Govandi- Mumbra
and Kalyan.
The residents in Those areas and All over Mumbai need not send the
books parcel by courier or post, WE will arrange to collect them.
(YOU may however, identify the needy people Children in your
locality and do it yourself or through your contacts of NGO or
friends and relatives.)
Through team of our dedicated workers / teachers and B.Ed. Students,
we would depute them to various schools and localities to arrange
for the distribution of books and motivating / encouraging the
children to go back to school start studying and help them
overcome the trauma fear of flood and losses which they have
suffered.
If this measures are not taken up then the poor children will be
wasting this academic year and in future also they will not go back
to school, which would result in more drop outs from school, more
poverty, more low paid jobs or unemployment and more crimes, anti-
social activities and indirect support to anti social elements, who
will have free recruitment of their power and strength.

follows him, without the reward of either of them being lessened at all."
