To All, I have studied "nature" religions before finding Islam.
True "witchcraft" is a form of prayer. It is so different from prayer because it is focused to a different god or goddess or gods. It has the same functionality of prayer. You are asking that something happen and you are desiring it with all your being and doing what you can to have it happen. The only difference is the symbolic catalysts like a yellow candle for wisdom... since yellow is a color associated with thought by the old traditions. But actually the old traditions are just a guide. It really depends on what your heart sees as a catalsyt... lending it's energy to your will and the will of the gods. So actually witchcraft is a function of another religion. Anything else you might think of as witchcraft... Tarot Cards, Palm reading... those are just tools. It's really the application of them that you must be careful of. I use to use my Tarot cards to help me learn about myself... not the future... because that's impossible. It was my cards that helped stay with Islam when I found it. I used them purely as a personal symbolic tool related to no deity whatsoever, with no ritual, no dedication. In fact I was using them to help me find my true path. For the record, witchcraft is not supposed to effect the free-will of another person. That is consider really wrong among most circles. Also, people who perform witchcraft believe in a form of karma. That if they somehow do someone wrong with their desires it with come back on them threefold. I hope this helps others understand this complex religion. After all, Allah sent messengers to all nations. All religions started with Allah simple commandments but then lost their way from there. Many of the good ideals held in this nature religion I feel were originally from Allah. Thanks for reading. --- In [email protected], "Muhammad Abdul-Rahman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Is it permissible to use witchcraft to achieve a good purpose? > > Question: > > is it permissable to use witchcraft or black magic for good purposes or stuff like using to convince your parent about something? like marriage to someone? > > > Answer: > > Praise be to Allaah. > > Witchcraft or magic is knowledge that comes from the shayateen and is something that they do. Witchcraft or magic is falsehood, and all kinds of falsehood are kufr and evildoing. Sin cannot be a means of achieving something good. Beneficial things have to be sought through the prescribed means which involve no sin and whose consequences are safe. Allaah has given His slaves sufficient means in the things that He has permitted them, so they have no need for the things that He has forbidden. To Him be praise and thanks for His blessings. > > Shaykh `Abd al-Rahmaan al-Barraak > > (Browse http://www.islammuslims.com/shop/asinsearch_1861790864/ for source of material and more Questions and Answers) > ------------------------------------------------ > 1000s of Books, DVDs, Electronics,Software,Toys, > Outdoors and Other Categories, are available at > http://www.islammuslims.com > ------------------------------------------------ ------------------------ Yahoo!
