The Israeli newspaper Haaretz carried today an article which appeared ONLY in its Hebrew edition! http://www.haaretz.co.il/hasite/spages/657978.html
A. In this article it is reported that 66 Israeli soldiers died this year. HALF OF THEM COMMITTED SUICIDE!!! 33!
B. In this article, General Avi Zamir said that many soldiers will not be allowed to carry personal weapons anymore.
C. In this article, it is also reported that IDF commander in Chief General Dan Chalutz said one month ago that the #1 cause of death in the IDF is soldiers committing suicide.

(66 deaths might not seem to be a lot to you. There are almost
300,000,000 people in America but there are only about 6,000,000
Israelis. That would be equivalent to us losing 3,300. I have
met Israeli immigrants to the U.S. who moved here so their
young son would not have to serve in the Israeli army.
