Alhamdullah, Sister Hanan, Your expressions demonstrate the value of our Allah endowed right of freedom of _expression_, and the methodology of dialetic dialog and Shura, as avocated by Imam W.D. Mohammed.
I made Hajj in 1996 guided by a Hajj group from Atlanta. Hajj has been one of the most richly rewarding experiences of my life. I highly encourage anyone who is able. to make the Pilgramage at the earliest possible opportunity, and to repeat the Hajj when possible. I Believe Allah Blesses us to make the Hajj when we are supposed to make it, however we have to do our part also, or we will "blow our blessings". One key part is simply declaring or making your intention to make Hajj, then Allah, Inshallah will start opeining up doors to help you.
The best provisions for Hajj is Tawqah - God Conciousness. You have to also make other provisions, money, travel arrangements, passports,
visas, covering you home and familes living expenses while you are gone.
On my hajj trip I was blessed to be able to make a video documentary of it. It consists of three vhs tapes priceed at $20 each. The first one covers all the rites of hajj, plus pre-hajj section of Morroco and Jeddah and Medina. The other two tapes are interviews of the Hajees in my group. They are availabe, and people making Hajj for the first time have said they found them beneficial. I pray Allah Blesses you to make Hajj at the most beneficial time possible for you.

And in keeping with the teachings of Iman Mohammed, studying the seerah is so, so important. Our Beloved Porphet prayers and peace be upon him and his family and the followers of Muhammed, lived a life that has left us with the best guidance, useful reminders, and real solutions to many of our current day issues/problems (dealing with community, business, politics, marriage and family life, dealing with non-Believers, ect) ...insha Allah, we will resolve to continue studying, learning and most importantly LIVING AND IMPLEMENTING the life of the Prophet salla allahu alaahiy wa salaam

Alhumdulilah, it's great to learn, share and to be a part of the education, discussions, debates and current events all shared in the way of Islam and to benefit our fellow brothers and sisters in Islam. Are there any from this group or the community making Hajj this year....?? May Allah ta alaa accept the Hajj of All HAJJIS......ameen. Would the Hajjis (elders and youth and all in between)...share something from their Hajj....before and after......insha Allah.....?? To those that have not made Hajj, I pray that Allah ta alaa gives you the intentions and provisions to plan and make the journey....ameen.
