Tehran to host int'l conference on al-Qods and support for rights of Palestinians

International Conference on al-Qods and support for the rights of Palestinians is to be held in Tehran April 14-12, it was announced here Monday.
Heads of states, parliament speakers from world countries along with scholars, scientists, researchers, representatives of NGO's, advocates of human rights as well as representatives of Palestinian organizations and movements are to attend in the three-day long international confab to examine the current situation and ways to support the cause of al-Qods and restoration of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people especially the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland and ensure their right to self-determination.
The International conference is to be held with collective cooperation of Majlis and other domestic organizations.
Hojjatoleslam Ali Akbar Mohtashami is the Secretarial of the International conference on al-Qods and support for the rights of Palestinian people.
The conference is to study the continued terrorist acts of the Zionist regime in the occupied Palestine including racist act of building a barrier in the West Bank and sealing off the Gaza Strip as well as continuation of the illegal construction of Jewish settlements along with military besiege of Palestinian cities and villages and arrest of innocent people.
At the same time Judaization of Holy Qods by such means as expelling its original inhabitants and extensive building of Jewish settlement around the Holy Shrine, changing geography and demography this historical city, as well as continuation of illegitimate excavations beneath the Holy Mosque with the purpose of destroying its mosque and to replace it with the claimed Temple all implicate that the Zionist regime disregarding the international regulations and UN resolutions is committing the act of sacrilege against Islamic and Christian sanctities.
The main subjects of the conference are as follows:
1. The latest developments in the Question of Palestine:
- The international framework of the present developments in Palestine.
- The US plans including the "Road Map" and its fate.
- Position of Palestine in the Greater Middle East Plan.
- Developments in the territories occupied in 1967.
- West Bank, the barrier and continuation of the construction of Jewish settlements.
- Gaza Strip after withdrawal of Israeli troops.
- Intifada and popular resistance.
- Situation of the Palestinian Authority and its relations with other resistance organizations.
- Ways to support the resistance.
2. Situation of the Holy Mosque:
- The plot to destruct the Holy Mosque and the claim to reconstruct the Jewish temple.
- Illegitimate excavations of the Zionist regime beneath the Holy Mosque.
- Importance of the Western wall (al-Buraq wall or Wailing Wall).
- Recent excavations and the plan to construct a new temple beneath the Holy Mosque.
- Suggested ways to protect the Holy Mosque.
3. Situation of the Holy Qods:
- Different dimensions of the plan for Judaization of Qods.
a. Demographic changes.
b. Geographical changes.
- Expansion of the Holy Qods limits in its east and north.
- Construction of Jewish settlements around al-Qods.
- Situation of Christians and Christian sanctities in al-Qods.
- The plans to confront the "Judaization plan".
4. Situation of Palestinian refugees:
- Conditions of the Palestinians in diaspora.
- Civil, legal, educational and human conditions of the Palestinians refugees.
- Right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homeland nd stipulated in the resolution 194 of the Security Council.
- Resolution 1559 and the plan to disarm Palestinians living in the refugee camps in southern Lebanon.
- Proposed mechanism for exercising the rights of the
Palestinian nation.
The secretariat of the conference has called all scholars and researchers to send their relevant articles to the office mostly within March 10.
The call for paper reads that hegemonic strategy of Zionism in every field in the world, including the Middle East, and
expansionist and illegitimate actions of the Zionist regime in the occupied territories are seriously threatening and endangering the most important and vital question of the Islamic world namely the cause of Palestine.
Therefore if no effective measures is taken by the Islamic and Arab world and the international organizations to stop this unjust trend, it is feared that in the future the Zionist regime will present the open-minded people of our world with illegitimate and inhuman realities which may not be corrected or changed, concluded the call for paper.
