I agree with Imam Kashif and I thank sister Anisa for posting the clarification exonerating Muslims from having anything to do with this. The fact that the Miami 7 were actually Christians and Jewish Zionists but were reported to be Muslims shows how desperate our media is to demonize Islam even with false reporting. Anisa should be given great credit for "ascertaining the truth" which in the past few years is somethng that most Muslims failed to do with media stories blaming Muslims for terrorism.
 
I have always said that mainstream media is the worst or one of the worst enemies of Muslims. I hope the misinformation in this story will cause some Muslims to begin to see that.

When we received the reaction of CAIR to the "home-grown" terrorist bahalloo,  we felt it necessary to share it with the forums--- including Strategicalliance---, hoping that an awareness of these knee-jerk reactions by nearly every purported "major" Muslim advocacy group.(often claimed as such  in every public statement). 
 
Many Muslims have complained about thesekind of  responses that come even before the ink is dry on the propaganda of the neo-cons and other anti-Muslim sources.   I think now, given this clear exposure of this issue, that the Muslims community is due a public apology, not only from the press and government authorities, but from these Muslim organizations that need to reconsider the ultra-defensive strategy of  proving their patriotism or whatever ,by public condemning every alleged "terrorist" allegation,-d--(before concrete proof--)  for the sake of seemingly  endearing themsleves to radical neo-cons and islamphobes in the country. Do they  not know that 'browni points," are mocked and often despised on all sides--, really. Only Truth, Honor and Dignity are respected in the world of dialogue and challenge. 
 
He who aspires to lead, or be it thrust upon him,  most either "stand tall," or else "stand down."
 
It is my request that the recepients of Anisa's exposia  send a copy of her complaint  to every news reporter, and/or editor of a local or national paper ( with whom you have contat with) , for their "information" and/or dessiminations.  Also call them, and their editorial board to task for failing to  tell the full truth of this matter.
 
  Also let these organizations of ours know that we will no longer tolerate this kind "sloppy" work in  our name.  The lives and properties of the Muslims here in America are too valuable for such organizagtion tol continue to speak in their name while unwittingly (we hope not purposely) asserbating  the "divide" among ethnic and religious communities

I am so surprised that no one is talking about the
fact that these guys belonged to a group called the
Seeds of David, and that they are Christians and
Jewish Zionist who have sworn a holy war against the
US. CNN broke that story yesterday afternoon, only one
hour after the government's press conference. One of
teh suspect's mother was irrate that her son, who
described as a devout Christian, was being called a
Muslim. Foxnews continued to say "Muslim" terrorists,
while MSNBC and CNN dropped the "Muslim" yet never
mentioned again that these suspects are not Muslims. I
think it's criminal for the media to perpetuate hoaxes
such as this, and a hate crime, since it is obvioulsy
aimed at perpetuating the idea that Islam and Muslims
are violent and terrorist, while other religions are
not. Here in our local newspaper, they said the group
is "Christian and Muslim" another lie aimed at
avoiding saying "Jewish" and terrorism in the same
sentence, especially since they are being charged with
plotting something similar to 9/11. CAIR could really
do Muslims throughout the world a huge favor by
preventing our government and media from continuing
this hoax by investigating this story closely and
making sure that the truth is told, and Islam, and
Muslims exonerated.
