Agree with you that indonesia is the largest muslim populated country in the world and aceh is a very traditionally muslim.
But what i want to highlight about Indonesia is they are accepting other religions now-especially christianity.After the disastrous tsunami a lot of christian ngos are doing wonderful humanitarian services(which has to be appreciated) in the field of orphan care,building houses and even mosques etc.There are hardly few from our side with deep regret .
We have been working on an orphan care project since tsunami called kinderhut .it is right in Banda aceh ,the epicentre of tsunami.
It is high time that we concentrate on humanitarian services and establish more and more non govrnmental organizations to cater to humanity in general.I am
telling you this out of my personal experience.
