We have a 7500 running 12.2T, with WCCP on a FE port, in GRE mode
(unfortunately, this version doesn't seem to support L2), with input
redirection. Until recently, we were using CEF, and the CPU load was almost
unbearable. But we switched to dCEF, and this has substantially reduced the
CPU load. However, at the same time, the input traffic rate on the port
running WCCP shot way up, but the cache indicates the same traffic level as
before the change. All indications are that the input traffic rate
indicated on the port is fabricated, and is roughly 25x the actual level.
The transmit rate appears to be correct.

Has anyone encountered anything like this, where the input rate is about 25
times the actual level?
