Short description: =================================================== The high-density Summit 5i stackable switch delivers non-blocking wire-speed IP/IPX routing and switching to server farms, aggregated switches and network backbones. This unit has 12 100/1000BASE-T or 1000BASE-SX ports, 4 GBIC-based 1000BASE-X ports, and a non-blocking 32 Gbps backplane. The Summit5i provides full Layer 3 routing and full Layer 3 switching which includes support for protocols such as RIP V1/V2, OSPF, DVMRP, PIM and IPX routing of multiple encapsulation types. The unit also supports server load-balancing, ACL, Policy based QoS, and is manageable via SNMP, WEB, CLI, and 4 RMON groups. The Summit5i comes in a compact '4U' package.
