One thing that needs to be taken care of is announcements from the PTCL
and the Minister. They announce a rate reduction, and users come after us,
whereas in reality the reduction comes one year after the anouncement, and
the change in the value of Rupee and the loss that we had to take because
of reducing our rates on public pressure offsets any benefit that the
industry could have gotten from the rate reduction.
These announcements should only come after the PTCL customers have been
issued new demand notes on reduced rates, not a single day before, because
then the industry will be benefiting and will pass the beneifit to the
users.
What happened in the past was that the public got news of reduction long
time before the industry was informed and a very long time before the
industry got the reduction.
