KARACHI, Sept 27: The Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) is introducing a new quarter rate regime effective from Oct 1. The quarters rate timings will now start from 9:30 instead of 10:30pm, says a press release.

Customers will now be able to make inter-city calls on very cheap rates from 9:30 in the evening till 5:30 in the morning.

It may be mentioned that half rate timings are from 6pm to 9:30pm and quarter rate timings are from 9:30pm to 5:30am.

The PTCL has extended the due date for current bills by two days, ie to Saturday, says a press release. The PTCL will issue bills in two batches instead of four. The bills for Zones 1 and 2 will be issued on the 8th of every month with the due date as the 22nd.

The bills for Zones 3 and 4 will be issued on the 10th of every month with the due date as the 24th.

It may be recalled that earlier in March this year, the PTCL had introduced the scheme for one month.

Getting encouraged from the response of the customers, the company has again decided to offer this package for three months starting from Oct 1 to Dec 31.
