Based on what I've heard from support, S3 v1.7.1 supported AIX through "4.3"
(which actually meant AIX 4.3.0; 4.3.1 and later were not supported). With
System Scanner 4, they actually regressed in terms of AIX support, because
it only supports up to AIX 4.1 (4.1.x?) via the V3 agents.
There's supposed to be a V4 agent for AIX at some point that will provide
support for AIX 4.3 (does that mean 4.3.0, as was the case with System
Scanner 1.7.1?), and hopefully that will be released sometime this year.
We've got a license that's going to expire at the end of June, and there
hasn't yet been a version of System Scanner we could use, since the vast
majority of our machines are at 4.3.1 through 4.3.3. I'm hoping a workable
solution gets released soon, before our license expires. :)
