The very best hardening guide for NT 4.0 that I have seen comes from Hewlett Packard
consulting in Sweden and written by Stefan Norberg. It was actively updated up to NT
4.0 SP5.

This is what I have implemented in the bank and it is very secure.

It even comes with a custom MS SCE script to automate it (prepared by the papers
author)

Search on the web for thos keywords and you are sure to find it..

I received a copy of NT Security from the SANS Institute. It has some good
information for hardening NT and some good recommendations for general
security practices. My question is: Does the System Scanner have these
included in it's database?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Barry Shatswell
