Hello all!
This is just to inform everybody of some recent problems with
the list server. On Saturday Dec 9 around noon, we began to experience
a hard drive failure on our mailing list server. Because it was not a
complete and catastrophic failure, it went unnoticed for several
days (but the logs told me pretty much when we blew the drive).
Fortunately, this was in a mirrored drive set and we were able to
switch to the backup drive which had not become corrupted by the
failure in the primary.
To make a long story short...
If you sent any submissions to the list in the last three days
and have not seen your message or heard back from me saying that it was
rejected, then it may have been lost due to the failure. Please resubmit.
If you tried to unsubscribe in the last three days, you are
probably still on the list. Please send your request to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
with "unsubscribe" in the body of the message. Do NOT send
administrative requests like "unsubscribe" to the list itself
(they get intercepted and tossed before they get to me) or to
issforum-owner (that just slows it down, since I have to deal with
it manually, then).
