Dan,

This is most likely a result of an expired maintenance date in your license
key or a missing key.  It will occur if you install an X-Press Update and
start up the Scanner without a key or with an expired key.

Update/Install your key and you should be fine.  We are aware of this
misleading error message and will fix it in an upcoming XPU.

Hi

Hopefully someone has seen this before and has a magic fix

Im running ISS Scanner on Win2k Prof and Server (ver 6.1)
All works fine upon finishing the default install of IScanner, yet
when i use the Express Updates to update everything, upon restarting
the Scanner i get this error


ISS Internet Scanner
"the policy manager could not be started
 General access denied error
 [ID=0x80070005]


Now nothing has changed on the machine besides running the XU
Any ideas of how to combat this?
