It depends on where you are storing the policies.  Best way to do it is to
derive a new policy for each NIDS and then you have a custom rule set for
each engine.  This may get to be a nightmare in a large deployment, but ISS
has released a Java tool to aid in this for 6.0.  Hope this helps.
