Vincent,

The best way I have found is not to argue but to ask for each vendor to
provide a "proof of concept" by actually installing one of their sensors on
your network. Work with them during the installation, noting the ease of
installation. Have them demonstrate how to configure the console as well as
how each system receives updates to attack signatures. Have each vendor
monitor the same segment, looking to see if one out performs the other.
Remember that ISS is software put on your hardware, Cisco is an appliance.
If both systems turn out to be equal, base it on TCO. How much is it to
upgrade? One vendor I worked with (not ISS or Cisco) had a standard initial
price, low annual maintenance, but you had to repurchase the software every
three years.

Hi all,

I have some question about ISS RealSecure 6.0 :

- How to argue the choice of the ISS RealSecure solution with regard to the
Cisco NetRanger solution ?
- Can you give me an average evaluation of streams between :
+ Sensors and event collector ?
        + Sensors and GUI
        + Event Collector and GUI
- On a Nokia, is it interesting to install a manager, or it is better to
install a Network Sensor ?
- Is it possible to install 2 Sensors on a Nokia 330 ?
- What is the size of the signatures database ?
- What do you think about of the implementation of 2 Network Sensor (One in
frontal bone of internet and one in the frontal bone of the intranet) ?

I need answers within 12 hours. Please help me..

Thanks a lot..
