Hello:

I am attempting to implement a "user specified
response" script on an IDS console running RealSecure
version 5.5.2000.277 on Windows NT. The script was
written in Perl and is supposed to be executed by
ActiveState Perl. On the response configuration
screen, c:\Perl\bin\perl.exe is specified as the
command, and the path to my script is the first
argument (followed by source IP, dest IP, etc.
arguments). To activate the response, I right-click on
the sensor in the Sensor window, select
'Responses...', select 'Replace with Gloal Responses'
and hit OK. For testing purposes, I have assigned this
response to an HTTP_Get event, which happens quite
frequently in the environment. My script will execute
manually, but RealSecure refuses to run this or even a
simple one-line script when an HTTP_Get occurs.

Any suggestions? Has anyone encountered this problem
before.

Thanks.
