Hi Yoganathan, The easiest and reliable way to add a sensor to the eventcollecter(EC) is to use the Deployment Wizard. Ensure all certificates and keys are pushed down successfully from the EC to the Sensor. Next ensure the Sensor info is included in the EC's Event Source. If this has been done, check that the Daemon on the EC is listening on port 2998 and on port 903. As for the server sensor, ensure it is listening on both daemon port 2998 and port 902 (by default for server sensor). Most of the time if the Control Connection displays CONNECTED and failed for the other, the problem should lies with Keys exchange btw the EC and the sensors. I hope this helps. Should you need further help do drop me a mail. regards. The event collector and the console are in the same server. The error I get is " The sensor is not being monitored by the evencollector, Please reconfigure the event collector to monitor this sensor." The same event collector is monitoring WIN NT os sensors without any problem. The control connection to the server sensor is working fine, only the event collector part is not working. How do I resolve this? Thanks and Regards S. Yoganathan IBM Global Services Tel : 65 - 840-9102 Pager: 949 69622 Fax : 65 - 748-8809
