********************************************
ALERTCON 1
Projected: AlertCon 1
********************************************

ALERTCON 1 - We are at AlertCon 1, the usual chaotic state of the Internet.
We define Internet Risk as the probability that something bad will happen
through your Internet connection.

Vulnerabilities:

A potential security vulnerability has been discovered in Oracle9i database
server. It is possible to create a user defined in the Oracle9i database
server with limited privileges who can potentially access privileged data
using SQL syntax for outer joins. As such, a knowledgeable and malicious
user can gain unauthorized access to data in Oracle9i database server.

VIRUSES/WORMS: The Klez.H variant is continuing to spread via email, and one
antivirus vendor says it has the ability to release sensitive documents. The
latest variant of the Klez worm sometimes chooses to hitch a ride on
sensitive documents, resulting in victims' confidential information
spreading with the malicious program.
