ibw'zI managed to ovecome to problem which by the way is
a bug in the setup
procedure by ISS and lot of people might think that they have patched
their databases.

Here is the sulution

You run the patch programm from ISS and you reach the first wellcome
screen. By that time a temp folder has been created in the place where you
run the patch.
Go into that folder. It contains a file called rs60patch.bat
Go to a command prompt and run this file with the syntax "rs60patch
servername dbname"
After a while a message says that the update was succesful

After that you run the query "select max(currentdate) from eventday" into
the database and the result should be 2012-07-17

I hope everybody finds this solution practical.

I encountered the exact same problem. I contacted ISS and they were going
to
send a script to manually update the database. I am still waiting for the
script. I was planning to check back with them tomorrow.

Did anyone have problems trying to install the ISSED database critical
patch from ISS.

I follow all the instructions.
The patch at the end says that it "could not verify the result. Please
check the log files in c:\temp\ISS\logs". Of cource nothing exists there.

The test query suggested by ISS "Select max(currentdate) from eventday"
reports "2002-07-16" instead of "2012-07-17" meaning that the problem
still exists

Thanks
