Hi,
I'm using the version of MSDE 2000, which was bundled with ISS
RealSecure. I read MS bulletin MS02-034 / 038 / 039 and I tried to patch
this problem, but I couldn't do it, because the patch seems to require
SP2 for sql server. SP2 for sql server consists of three files, which
must be applied separately to the specified component. For the MSDE
component the patch to install is sql2kdesksp2.exe, but I couldn't do it
because the setup program terminated with the following error:
"This installation package could not be opened. Verify that the package
exist and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to
verify that this is valid windows installer package".
I would like to know if the version of MSDE 2000 of RealSecure is
affected by the problems described in the MS bulletins and if the answer
is yes, how to patch it if anyone do it.
