How could I schedule a Job?
Using the Windows scheduler, or is there any utility provided by ISS?
(Which version?)
Thanks,

Here is what I have found.
1. Most things are fine unless I try to use the GMT checkbox. To prove
this, check this GMT box, wait a few minutes until the times changes in the
sensor Analysis or Command fields. Schedule a sensor to start or stop. Look
at the problems it has at every step of the scheduling. Fun. Don't use it.
2. The timestamps in the database seem to be coming from the local system
time from the sensors themselves. All the times in the event details are
ALWAYS converted to GMT, regardless of the GMT checkbox setting.
I've opened a trouble ticket with ISS on the GMT checkbox/Job
Scheduling problem. This type of system should always be run in GMT so that
everyone is talking the same language or time. Use of such a product with
sensors in multiple timezones is a best practice so I can see why you'd
like to see everything in GMT. Me too, but I'll have to wait until they've
worked out this GMT time problem.
Bottom line: Until they fix the GMT checkbox problem, just understand that
all the jobs are in local console time and all the events are in GMT.
Thanks,
Matthew Brown, CISSP

Can anyone tell me where RS pulls the date and time stamp that it reports
to
the console under the date column for events? My console, sensors, etc are
all set to GMT time but the event timestamps don't match (they are
reporting
local time). Any clarification will be appreciated.
