Hi, We are facing a peculiar problem with Site Protector v1.0 SR 1 in managing a server sensor. The SP has been installed in the custom mode with the Application server and Data server on two machines. The communication medium between the Site Protector and the server sensor is a 32 kbps WAN link (Leased Circuit). We have observed regular communication between the Sensor Controller and the Sensor almost every min. We have the following doubts: 1. What is the nature & the importance of this regular traffic between the Application server and the sensor? 2. Can the time interval for this communication between the sensor and the Application server can be configured? If yes what are the limits? We would like to have the least amount of ISS management traffic on the WAN links as the requirement is to manage the server sensors (say maximum of 2 per location) over a WAN link of 32kbps from a central location. The WAN links will also carry other business critical traffic. 3. What is the minimum dedicated bandwidth required between the Sensor and the SP components (per sensor) to ensure smooth management of the IDS solution?
