Title: scanning vmware stations
Hi,
from my experience, if you were to do as u just mentioned, you should see the Linux OS if u are scanning the Linux OS IP and the Win2k OS if you are scanning the Win2k OS IP

if the Win2k OS is in Host-Only or NAT/Hide mode, you should not be able to access it directly ... ie probably not able to scan it coz its hidden behind the linux host

just my 2 cts

Best Regards,
Fung Han

Subject: [ISSForum] scanning vmware stations

Hello all,

question: if I scan a station that has Linux as host operating system and Windows 2000 Pro as guest operating system using VMWare software what will I see? A Linux based station or a Windows based station?

Thank you and good work to all.
