Hi, I have a 7.0 Network sensor monitoring a network segment in stealth mode. The operating system is windowsa 2000 professional. The first NIC is connected to the console for managing and the second NIC is connected to the segment to be monitored.Do we need to disable the media sense detect feature that is built into windows 2000 to monitor the network in stealth mode for added security. What would be the security implications if it is not disabled.
