Hi all, I am working with SP 1.2
for a while and I hop that SP2.0 will solve migration database issue. One of main issue is enterprise
database migrate to another database. You can't copy / migrate real secure database without reinstalling SP and it
is a problem. I am working with my
preproduction system, testing all around Sp1.2. After deciding upgrading
to production for larger database I have found that I can't change the
eventcollector password. In version 6.5 you can
change the location of your database only by adding new ODBC connection And reenter the
eventcollector user name or password. This feature does not
exist in SP 1.2, "since the passwords for these
users are created dynamically you cannot recreate the users on the new database
since no one knows what the passwords are." "So that is why
you will need to reinstall Site Protector if you wish to migrate it to another
database." This is Technical ISS Support
quoting. Another thing you can't
install enterprise database without ids server on the same machine. "When you install the There is no way around this issue" So before installing or upgrading
to SP 1.2 "RTFM" Thanks Best
Regards Avi
