not restarting the IIS service will result in Server Sensor not being able to detect attacks with an https session.
Regarding the restart issue. This hopefully has been resolved in the upcoming Server Sensor 7.0 release due out Q2-03 -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, March 24, 2003 4:39 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [ISSForum] Server sensor installation Hi, When I am installing ISS server sensor 6.5 on a IIS server (win2K), I come across a question on whether to restart the IIS services. I chosed YES, and the services restart but it hang eventually and the installation is incomplete. I would like to know if it is all right not to restart the IIS services so that the installation can be completed. Are there any side effects if I do not restart the IIS services during the installation? Pls advise.
